Hey guys, I'm helping a mate at the moment install a kit that he got from just jap (The cooling pro type 1 kit). At the moment it seems that none of the mounts to fit the cooler into the car actually fit, and the piping looks nothing like the picture that appears on the just jap website? perhaps they've used one generic picture i'm unsure From the installations i've been involved with in the past, which were both r33's had mounts that lined up pretty much perfectly with the bottom chassis of the car where the engine splash guard bolts in, however the r34's holes are obviously in a different place, but the bottom mounts look very much like the ones that came with my r33 kit and arn't nearly long enough.. Just wondering what other peoples experiences has been with these kits.. cheers

hey guys, haha yeah, blown fuse.. i feel like a dumbass.. it didn't feel like a fuse blowing though as i was fidling around with the sensors and nothing.. anyway got board with Silver_R34_GTT last night and after driving to his house with the foglights on the whole way we decided to have a play around, pulled out every fuse and found about 3 that were blown (i've only had the car 3 days so i'm still tidying things up) and yeah, no idea what they were as the diagram is all in japanese but the headlights now work weird that the high beams came on though. ah well.. cheers guys, mark.

hey guys, picked up my new cefiro last night, nothing special, rb20e haha but i love her none the less, however i have a question... automatic headlights. they were working fine last night, but tonight i turn them on and all i get are high beams.. no dash lights, just high beams. i did have a fidle around earlier with things but the only things i really touch relivent to the lights were the sensor covers ontop of the dash, the previouse owner had painted them black for some reason.. anyway any help would be appreciated cheers mark.

yeah, it's all gone a bit crazy lately, alot more politics involved compared to sensible idea's into actually finding ways to reduce the road toll.. i don't think a burnout has ever killed anybody, standing next to a car drifting around a roundabout must be the equivilent of running across a highway without looking

personally i think driving at irrisponsible speeds in traffic along our roads is alot more dangerous and deserves the full weight of the law as opposed to an innocent burnout at 11pm in a deserted industrial district.. but the law is the law and that's the way the cookie crumbles

ah, but whois on a 3 month suspension and who isn't well.. friday will decide, i did a silly thing and got caught, not going to do it again.. but if other people want to try things like that then it's not up to us to make their decision for them, tis a free country after all

Hey there, hoping somebody can help me with my prediciment.. i have a dominator car alarm i bought to replace my dodgy old VDO one which crapped itself and after seeing the absolute dodgy job which had been done when i chose to have it 'profesionally' installed last time i decided to install it myself. everything on the ignition side of things was connected as per the wiring diagram and then checked at the plug that connects into the alarm unit itself with a multimeter for correct voltages at all stages of the key turn (off, acc, on and start as well as the +12v and the chassis earth connection). the relay was also installed as per the wiring diagram at this stage i decided to attempt to start the car and found the car would turn over just fine, which of course it shouldn't have with the unit it place.. at first i thought i must've made an error in wiring in the relay, but i went over it and found that it was all good and as per the install diagram. the harness the relay plugs into is all colour coded which makes me believe the manual is wrong.. the alarm actually features a remote start button so i think this may have something to do with it, but really unsure. i then tried to use the remote, but the only signs that the alarm was even alive were a few faint relay clicking sounds coming from inside the unit when i turned the ignition through it's variouse stages. i then wired in the siren, thinking that perhaps as this was listed as the backup battery it was required to make the alarm function.. there was no clear diagram on how to wire this in, only a trigger wire was specified on the main harness, however there was a pinout on the back of the siren itself so i improvised and ran the +12 and -ve earth connections (multi meter tested) and ran the -ve trigger to earth and ran the positive trigger wire (as specified on the back of the siren) to the alarm wiring harness.. and still no change at this stage i read a sketchy bit on how to program in the remotes in the install guide, and followed it as best i could (ignition on and off 4 times, then press all 4 buttons on each remote you want programmed in.. from memory), and still nothing.. i also connected the variouse shock sensors etc up to see if that would make a difference and none of the lights on the sensor units would come when i shook them.. the status light also had the wrong connector on it and would not plug into the main unit, so i improvised and found a connector to suit and wired that in and found that the status light wasn't coming on either.. i'm starting to believe that i have a dodgy alarm unit but perhaps i've screwed it myself doing the install.. but if anybody else has any idea's or has had simerlar experiences with the alarm in question then please help me out thanks in advance guys, mark.

so has this vehicle still got it's compliance plate? have you any rego papers or records of the vehicle or it's VIN before the plates were 'stolen'? sounding mighty suspicious but i'm genuinly interested just very curious to know a bit about the history of this vehicle.. i'm located in brisbane, so would it be possible for me to come and have a look at it in the flesh? cheers, mark.

haha i know the smell you mean, my mates always comment on it, one in particular who owns an r34 always comments on it wishing his car smelt like it my car also has the green beads in the ash tray so maybe that's whay does it

hey guys, out of curiousity, does anybody know if the radiater support bar (as in the bit that the bonnet clips to), the inner guards and the bonnet are interchangable on the 33 between the gtr and gts? from my understanding they're pretty simerlar if not identical.. cheers, mark

well apparently when my dad got up there were no cars there, and somebody just jumped in and drove away care free.. so perhaps it wasn't involved and police just doing their usual prick thing.. who knows

spotted: silver r33 with chrome 18's and number plates that were like ipoh or something like that.. outside my house bloxed in by police cars along with 3 detectives looking around my street in shorncliffe at about 5 thismorning.. went for a little drive around the suburb and there were police everywhere, i was pulled over and asked for ID, apparently you and 4 of your mates were caught graffiting one of the trains parked at the station overnight.. class act mate.
