hey, i was going down this path with Dr Drift, he put the 32 ecu into my car and got it working on one of his stockish maps. never got around to tuning though, the contact just sort of broke off as he is a very busy man and i ended up getting a power fc instead. the 33 ecu uses a different chip which has the actual program embedded in the chip itself, which can't be wrewritten too and thus a new one must be installed which is expensive (this is the reason he gave to me). anyway as they say get in contact with Sam, he's a very smart bloke. cheers, mark.

what burnout :| It's dickhead teenagers doing burnouts on "Abandoned" bridges that give us import owners a bad name, I think some people need to gain some maturity, although i also believe that peer pressure could also have something to do with this isolated case.

hey, I saw a black one with a tommi kit and other associated tommi stuff all over it for sale at phantom motorsports in brisbane not long ago, i recall seing an odd build plate in the engine bay, but I only looked briefly so I can't be sure, might've been something else mark.

haha, i pass that house every few days and always think "what if" in regards to that ceffy I also recall a dinged up r33 parked in the same front yard sometime last year.. ah well, small world

The turbo's would be rebuilt at some stage, although the actual condition they were in when I recieved them would decide on how long that would be... Hey, I'm actually about to try this myself, just sourcing cheap bits at the moment. My philosophy behind it, as i'm not after exactly "massive" power at this stage is to source a cheap pair of GTR turbo's and possiblie manifolds (depending on how hard it turns out to be modifying the flange on them) and doing the same mod. I trawled through a few japanese sites and found these on one: although I think modifying the original ones (read: just not bolting up cylinders #1 and #5, haha not really ) might turn out cheaper and easier than getting something fabricated like this.. Anyway the whole appeal behind the idea to me is a decent setup using cheap, quality second hand parts that are really tried and proven on an entierly new setup.. mark

Has been serviced by Honda all its life, and has another 6 months rego. The antenna was snapped off in a car wash (Female driver ) but won't cost much to get repaired (just needs a new antenna stork, generic ones are available from repco for about $120). ahh, i see, thanks for clearing this up.. i wonder if it would be possible to bore holes in the rear gtr manifold so it would fit onto the rb25.. opertunity has just arrison for me to get access to a cheap pair of gtr turbo's and manifolds/dump pipes

hey all, after a bit of a search and checking out some photo's, the bolt pattern on the rb25 exhaust flange seems to be the same as the rb26, i was just wondering if anybody could confirm this for me? as in would it be possible to bolt up the stocko twin turbo exhaust manifolds from the rb26 onto the 25 and visa versa, or are the studs different sizes/threads.. thanks in advance, mark
