Hey guys, I've got the Power FC for sale out of my 34 GTR. It's the standard L-Jetro version (Ie uses AFMs, not map sensor) and comes complete with hand controller. I ended up getting a vipec so it's no longer needed. I'm chasing $1400 however am negotiable should a decent offer arise If pictures are required I can send them across, but I should think everybody knows what a power fc / hand controller looks like by now. My number is 0420 553 651 if you have any urgent questions. Thanks alot! Mark

Recalibrating Std Gtr Airflow Meters?
aphid replied to Gtrgodzilla67's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It's a relatively straight forward process, I f**ked around and achieved a similar thing with an rb25 afm a few years ago. I think the key is in throwing it on a flow bench of some kind afterward so you can get a voltage vs airflow readout that is accurate and specific for the unit because as Nismoid says; as it's aged over the years the voltage it is putting out in relation to the amount of air that's flowing through it has most certainly changed and it's accuracy will be defiantly questionable -
Do your headlights terminate into one 4 wire plug? The headlights (non xenon) I pulled out had only 1 plug, however the Xenon ones I bought came without any of the high beam assembly that holds the bulb in place and any wiring, the only plug on it is the 2wire plug that leads into the ballast.. Am I maybe missing a sub harness that plugs into the high beam assembly with a 2wire plug, plugs into the ballast with a 2wire plug and terminates into a 4 wire socket that plugs into the engine loom?? Thanks again
-
That was what I thought it should be but the plugs don't even match up... the only thing I can think of is that the polarity is reversed on the bulbs I bought, or the ballasts are dead
-
Hey guys, I purchised a set of r34 xenon headlights with the inbuilt ballasts a while ago. Unfortunantly they didn't come with any bulbs / high beam loom. I bought some D2R HID replacement bulbs off ebay which fit perfectly, however when I wire it up they don't seem to work. The only connector left on the headlight is a 2wire plug that runs straight to the ballast, which I figure to be the positive and negative low voltage input side, but when I connect it up it does nothing. Reversing the polarity does nothing. The only other wire on the headlights is an earth connecting the braiding/metal around the high voltage side to the chassis! Is there something I'm doing wrong or I've just bought a set of headlights that happened to have two dud ballasts? Thanks in advance! Mark

Bnr34 Power Fc + Hand Controller + Datalogit
aphid replied to aphid's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey guys, Datalogit is sold! Sorry if I've missed some of your replies, I'm pretty sure my pm was screwing up Power FC + Handcontroller still for sale!!!!! -
Just make sure you remember to check/adjust solid lifter clearance for the new cams, not just bolt them in

R34 Gtt,r34 Gtr Loom?(pulling My Hair Out!)
aphid replied to Clockworks's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Any gtr loom would be alot easier than using the gtt loom as most of the plugs are different, depending on what kind of ecu you're running it would also probably be a good idea to get the injector ballast resistors too.. Also if you're thinking about running a 34 gtr stock ecu or power fc, don't. They both support the Nissan Anti Theft System that comes stock with the 34 GTR and will never run, unless you can get the NATS IMMU, Ignition Barrel Amp and the matching 34 GTR key then be bothered wiring the whole system up -
Bnr34 Power Fc + Hand Controller + Datalogit

Bump =) -
thanks for the info guys, very much appreciated.. Also smell, that r34 engine manual supplement is fkn gold !!

The 1UZ isn't a better engine than the VH45, the only superior thing about a 1UZ would be the late model ones with VVTI... Aftermarket support, I guess you've got me beaten there though
-
pfft vq35de with 6 throttles, how is that better than a vh45? the only thing it has going for it is a superior valve train and slightly better weight distribution which unless you track your car on a regular basis isn't going to mean squat ! =) If you can affoard it and like the challenge of diy, go the vh45! If you really want to go turbo, then I suggest what others have said and just sell up and buy a turbo. Best of luck!

It's across the road from my house, it can get a bit dull and parking at times can get limited
-
so what, it just displays the GTR logo but no info? or you can see the backlight but no image on the screen?

Over the last 4 months I've built up a mean 26/30 and it's all ready to go, except somehow the original key with the NATS (Nissan Anti Theft Chip) in it went missing.. So no worries, I just ordered a new one in from Nissan and had the car towed down the road to Metro Nissan to have it coded. After having the car for almost 5 working days the guy calls me back up and goes "Sorry mate, we can't do it, the NATS IMMU (Immobilzer box) is faulty (It was DEFINANTLY f**king working when I took it there as I could communicate and pull codes out of it with my Consult) and we'll need to replace it, so it's going to be $650 for the box" to which I replied "lols, don't worry about it, I'll just come pick my car up" to which he retorts "ah, well we've already done 5 hours labour on the car to get this far, and it's $130 an hour.." GOOD TIMES! I ended paying 1.5 hours labour, plus the 800m tow truck ride there and the 800m return ride at $140 each way = $475 to come to the conclusion that they don't know how to f**king code a key in EVEN though I supplied them with the manuals.. ARGH!! Lesson learnt. Anybody got a gtr Vipec they want to sell

Hey guys, I have for sale the Power FC + Hand controller out of my R34 GTR. I also have an FC Datalogit + Software (It's the black one that suits all skyline Power FCs as well as most other Power FCs on the market). Just incase you're not aware of the capabilities of the FC Datalogit I've included a short bit of propaganda from their website (http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/) below =) I'm chasing $1200 for the ecu and $300 for the datalogit however if somebody is keen I'll package them both together for $1400. I am negotiable on prices within reason but any low ballers will probably be laughed at! You can PM me on here, email me at [email protected] or call me on 0420 553 651. Thanks alot! Markus. FC Datalogit Features The FC-Edit software does all the things that the hand controller does plus much more including: • Full size fuel and ignition maps (20 x 20) instead of little pieces of them (5 x 5) • Alter the fuel and ignition map reference values. • Map trace and ghost trace. • Saving and loading complete maps and fuel and ignition settings • "Watches" (individual configurable windows for showing data streams. For example revs and temperatures etc Data logging "Map watch" • configurable tables that populate with logged data injector size and lag tables Adjust the threshold for flashing the check engine or cat light for injector and knock warning Lock • unlock Apexi dealer protected maps and settings And much more - Please Note: Some types of Power FCs allow access to more items than others. And the Power FC commander plugs into the FC-Box so you can still use it! The FC-Datalogit Package includes an FC-Box hardware interface (to communicate between a Power-FC and a lap top or PC), FC-Edit Software on CD-ROM & a Serial or optional USB Cable, an optional commander / FC-Box extension cable. Plus access to our user only Egroup for advice, help and map sharing. FC-Datalogit owners also receive FREE updates to the software as they are released. Professional tuners world wide have been using FC-Datalogit to tune and log data from a huge variety of Power FC equipped cars: drag cars, circuit cars, rally cars and street cars. Now you can realise the full potential of your Power-FC with FC-Datalogit

i effing HATE metro nissan at windsor on lutwych rd... THAT IS ALL!

aww to lappy hdd death swapping 41 & 51, 42 & 52 doesn't work arrgghhh.. The reason I'm putting the 33 ecu in there is to try and bypass the NATS (Nissan Anti Theft System) so I can drive it to nissan to get my key tuned in I'm guessing the immobiliser also cuts power to the 2nd ECCS relay, the one that powers the injectors as when I turn the CAS the injectors arn't firing The funny thing is although the r34 power fc does the same thing as the r33 standard ecu in not firing the injectors, the standard r34 gtr ecu fires the injectors, but the pulse is so tiny pretty much no fuel comes out if anybody else has any ideas please share =) Cheers!
-
Hey guys, Which wires have to be swapped so an r33 ecu will work in a 34? I believe it's something to do with the CAS.. Looking over the wiring diaram there are 4 wires from the CAS to the ECU which are on wires: 41: 120deg Input 42: 1deg Input 51: 120deg Input 52: 1deg Input If anybody has a diagram or any hot tips it would be very much appreciated =) Cheers!

Hey guys, Me and the jeef have just moved into a new (10month old) town house in Wilston (10 minute train ride from the city). Unfortunately our previous housemate bailed so we have two rooms spare! (Currently have computer and stuff in one of the rooms but can be easily relocated!) House is a short walk to the station, 2 mins walk from the Wilston restaurants and 5 minutes walk from the Windsor home zome shops (Subway, Gym, Hardware store, Homeware store, Pet store, Fish & chips etc etc..). The house is a 3 Story town house with 3 bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms upstairs, big living area & extra toilet off laundry in the midlle level as well as two balconies and undercover courtyard etc, Has a double garage downstairs but it's taken up by the 34 GTR and my girlfriends corrolla, but there is parking just infront of our unit inside our complex... All rooms come with build in cupboards and fully ducted aircon. We have ADSL2+ and foxtel already installed Rent is $150 p/w with 4 weeks bond ($600) to be paid with all bills to be split equally. If anybody is interested or has any further questions you can call/text me on 0420 553 651 or Jem on 0439 030 995 to organise a time to come check things out! Cheers guys! Markus

haha yup that's the one, thanks for the link mate!! =)

what if your key doesn't have the remote central locking button? My key is just the standard r34 gtr item with the logo but no remote central buttons does this mean I need to take it to Nissan to get programmed? Is it possible to program through a laptop via a consult cable?? Thanks
-
cropping yeah it's common practice however you really want to put some decent research and know what you're aiming to achieve long before you start machining, essentially it's the poor mans way of getting a larger A/R on the turbine housing! EDIT: ahh you mean machining from the exhaust flange!! I think you'd have to be VERY careful there as if you went even slightly too far the exhaust gas would simply bypass the turbine wheel creating massive lag with minimal pay off =(

Hey guys, I've just spent the last 30 mins searching around SAU and abroad in an attempt to find a guide on how to program the factory r34 GTR key.. I swear I've seen the guide more than once floating around the forums but now that I actually need it I can't seem to find it:( I've tried the routine for programming one of the factory remotes (lock door, key in & out of ignition 6 times then lock again and turn to ACC) but this doesn't seem to work Can anybody point me in the direction of the proper guide or give me a heads up on how to do it? Thanks in advance
