I've done all the wiring except the knock sensor. I read the manual and the ridiculous thing told me to first not connect it turn the ignitio on and check the setting etc etc but not once did it tell me to actually connect it. So I'm kinda at a loss as to which one to connect, my ecu has two wires for it. Anyone with any knowledge of that please help thanks

I was installing the SAFCII today and found that it had a Mines sticker on it. Just curious to know how it compares to a stock ecu as well as how common/uncommon they are. Are they worth a lot? or not much?

so how do you tune it with the sequential bov? it's been sitting in the back of car for the past 3 month when its better off in the engine bay

is there no way to do anything by youself?? getting someone to tune it means I really don't learn anything, which defeats the whole purpose of moding my car.

I can't seem to find a guide to tuning with a safc2. I know most of people out there are getting powerfc but I have no need for it. I just wanna be able to tune it so that mycar won't stall with the Sequential BOV installed and getting better power. If anyone can give me some tips and instructions on how to do it that'd be much appreciated.

thanks for the info, I'm sure somewhere down the line, I'm gonna want to take the engine apart and play around with it. Good to hear you don't need to pay a mechanic for doing it.....kinda takes the whole fun out of it.

what kind of tools did you have to buy? and roughly how much? This is something I've been dreaming of doing, just didn't know how feasible it was for a average joe with little background to do without a workshop garage. definitely bookmarking this one

I resprayed my dad's car a few years back, all I used was a decent sized compressor, nothing over the top, medium sized spray gun that was all that was available at the time anyway. Came out pretty good, just don't spray it on a wet day, after 10am and b4 5pm, thats the best time says my dad. Keep us updated.

buy the turbo register under your parents name........take off the T from the badge if there is one. Make sure you don't useless things like BOV on it or a FMIC untill you are legal to have it. Otherwise get a corolla, drive it for a few years until you crash it then buy a line......chances are you will crash it

HPI, the occasional wheels, shame about Speed tho, it was a good magazine. What ever replaced Speed, I think was 2dmax or shit like that was definitely not worth the 10 minutes of my life. Also read the occasional autosalon but just way to much bling for my taste and Hot4s is something I just ingore full stop. My fav is definitely HPI.

I just wanna watch super GT, more WRC coverage and F1. Enuf of the V8 I'm sick of it.
