  1. Hey guys, i just replaced my standard rb20 injectors with gtr ones, had to take 35% off the overall fuel trim on the wolf 3d so it wouldnt blow clouds of black smoke, the af ratio on the apexi turbo timer reads 13-1 with a 4000rpm jab of the gas, dont no how acurate it is but. Would you just drive it nice and easy to the dyno or pay the $150 to put it on a tow truck, thanks.
  2. Thanks mate that makes a lot of sence, ill sort through it next week and post up the problem when i find it, thanks.
  3. Thanks guys ill have a play with it soon and let you no what i find
  4. just a thought, did u put the right oil in? and enough of it?
  5. is that a 6000 dump or u let it ride a little
  6. thanks for your response, it does seem like some sort of interfearence problem. havent rechecked anything yet but will do soon after it goes back on the dyno. it isnt a daily driver and i only play with it when i have nothing to do so im not in a big rush. thanks. Russell.
  7. does the cable from the unit to the stacker have power wires on it, some that ive had before have a neg on one end and pos on the other, just a thought.
  8. the oil pressure sender that screws into the block could have a fault in it, try pulling the wire off it and see if the gauge goes back to 0. if not the sender could have been replaced with the wrong one or the gauge is out of calibration.
  9. hey guys, not a big deal but something i still would like to fix. just installed a new dvd player and moniter, when its all switched off you can hear the alternator whine through the headunit i think, but when switched on even with no volume it goes away. just wondering if you guys have any ideas, thanks.
  10. was reading that if you unplug that computer the steering will become heavy as the computer also controlls the power assist for the front as well
  11. maybe try pirtek or enzed
  12. yeah i respect your opinion and somewhat agree, but in my case i had to take the manifold off anyway. so while it was off i wanted to fix any potential problems that i saw while i had the oppitunity. yeah sure i spent a few bucks, but on the other hand it doesnt leak. if i didnt change the studs would it have leaked, well maybe not but i didnt want to chance it. plus i hate working on that side of the engine bay, the turbo requires a 3/4 spacer to accept the t4 compressor, very tight fit. thanks.
  13. i paid about $70 for all the studs, washers and nuts. had to get a guy out from threadweld to remove 2 broken studs, i tried to get em out with an easy out but they wouldnt budge, think he charged me $100, cause i made a bit of a mess with them and he removed all the other studs for me while he was there. putting the new ones in was easy, just locked 2 nuts on the stud and screwed them in. the guys number is 0418246531, if you need him. hope this helps you out.
  14. hey mate, grab a battery charger and some wire and put power directly to the motor. if you can make it go up and down like this its fine and the problem is in the junction box.
  15. yeah had it happen, the plastic bit where the screw goes in broke. i ended up getting the clear ones 2
  16. totally agree, i did all mine and it didnt cost much. at least there is no fear of snapping a stud next time the manifold comes off. you can get the new studs from your local exhaust shop.
  17. 1000cc injectors are huge, what sort of power are you looking for?
  18. i always lock the steering wheel to undo the nut, maybe not the best way but ive never had a problem
  19. paid $330 for the alternator. its fixed now. checked the plug and it had 12.2 pos on one side, 12.2 neg on the other. bridged them and the charge light came on. put the plug back on and started the car and is now charging at 14.2v. ill just keep an eye on it, thanks for the feed back guys
  20. thanks SKYBEE, ill have a play with it over the weekend
  21. the alternator is brand new(genuine nissan), only put it in and run it for 20 seconds. voltage regulator is internal. spoke to the electrician today and he said maybe faulty, or a fuseable link could be stuffed. ill have a bit of a play but if i cant find it ill get him to fix it. thanks for the reply JimX
  22. meter is 100%, this made car blow black smoke really bad[ fuel] ive had no luck with this car for the 18 months ive owned it, had to do everything a number of times cause everything i get for it is wrong. might as well keep spending on it cause its nearly brand new now. thanks SteveL
  23. sorry guys its a r32 rb20det, thanks.
