  1. it doesnt seem to bad considering its a stock ecu, would see better results with a re-map or aftermarket ecu of some sort. my car with similar mods makes 135rwkw on 10psi but uses a wolf 3d.

  3. hey guys just after a standard rb20det exhaust manifold for a friend. we are gonna make his vl a booster on a budget,thanks.
  4. my old turbosmart dual stage had a problem with it, on low boost it would keep the wastegate open for a long time after gear changes and took at least 2 seconds for it to close and make boost again. on the high setting if was fine and made boost straight away, just something for you to think about.
  5. hey guys just spoke to the guy that built my turbo and he now says the turbo will be good for no more than 300hpatw. and the exhaust has no rating but is aprox .48ar. to small for the power im after. he said he can make me a bb turbo for about $1500 but wont be a bolt on job. what i will do is find out all the specs and see if it is what im after, if in doubt ill post the specs up for feedback, but after a lot of searching i think i no the specs i need. thankyou to everyone that has helped me out on here, i really appreciate it.

  9. on the dragstrip, but not when its only gonna give me 1kw more. we only turned up the boost to try and get an indication of where the problem lies. the car isnt a daily driver at the moment so im not real worried if it blows up now, but would like it to make better power more efficently.

  11. sorry about the graph, im starting to think the exhaust housing might not flow enough now, it did spin up 26psi without a problem, but only saw a 1kw gain for an extra 4psi, not right. would back cutting the exhaust wheel help it out? or is it a simple case of time for a new turbo, thanks.
  12. i have to try and find out the turbo specs, the place that built if for me has closed, but i should be able to get a hold of them. from what they told me the rear housing (rb20) was machined out to fit a larger steel wheel, has a standard bearing(not bb) center and a to4e front, ar70. they also said it should flow 550hp at the flywheel and should be efficient between 20 and 30psi. the dump pipe was off the shelf from liverpool exhaust, 3", goes into a hi flow cat then just a cannon on the back with the silencer removed. they did say the dyno reads low but i was thinking thats what they all say when something rolls off with low numbers.

  14. sorry the picture is bad but it made 190kw on 22psi, torque is in newtons i think(N) on the paper and that was 4700. i did hope it would make 220kw but you no what they say....... oh well. mods are, 500hp walbro pump,malpassi 2-1 reg,gtr injectors t3/t4 turbo with 4' inlet, k&n pod filter, 600*300*76 hybrid intercooler 3" turbo back exhaust splitfire coil packs wolf3d computer with wolf ebc at just over 6500rpm the power just wanted to drop off, they said it would be the stock manifold being to restrictive. had to also gap the plugs to .6mm and he increased the dwell, said it would more than likely burn out the coils and it needs a cdi. feel free to write what ya think about it.

  17. Had a gates put on 6 months ago and has never made a noise. Install was free as my mechanic mate has lots of accidents in his car, im a spraypainter so we just trade off.
  18. are they duralite pistons in the kit? id go for a single turbo that will bolt to the rb25 manifold, talk to gcg, they should be able to help you out with turbo selection
  19. hey there, i done this on my car when i installed the timer, it works but about 1 in 25 times the key wont release, maybe my lock gets a bit jammed or something. when i first put the 5 speed in the key wouldnt come out at all, had to release this little bar thing on the ignition barrel to get it out. ??????? weird.
  20. might do.... not 100% sure but, my car had same symptoms with a vucome line off, id just check em all again to make sure. you can always spray some wd40 on any areas that look sus and see if it changes the idol, if it does you have found your leak.

  24. Thanks guys, ive gotta get the exhaust fixed first and thats only just down the road so ill drive it there and see how it goes, if bad ill tow it to the dyno.
