M35 2002 sseries 1 stagea axis autech I have someone to remote tune my car for LPG as am in Darwin .The guys up here are ripoff merchants............bigtime Where do I attach the cable? ie where is the plug hiding for me to connect my computer to the cars computer. I believe its under the dash somewhere. I am a bit paranoid I will rip out something I shouldnt ! A photo would be great so I know the shape and connection type Thanks in advance

My m35 2002 auto axis stagea does not have an oil gauge. Is this the norm? Also where is the sensor that tells you what the outside temperature is?

I requested an oil test and got a company in Sydney reply that it wouldn't be worth my while so I didn't pursue this. Who have you used?

VQ25DET engine oiltype. I was hoping to use Royal Purple to do an oil change but cant locate a supplier in Brisbanes western suburbs I was going to use a fully synthetic 10w-40w synthetic. what is a good second choice / The 50 odd pages on oil in the skyline forums don't relate to this motor and opinion is very diverse because of the different motors spoken of. does the turbo run off the engine oil?

I have conflicting information collected from different threads for an M35 stagea automatic 2002 model series 1 turbo. Do front and back diff use different weight oils? One thread says the transmissions fluid is sealed ad shouldn't have the oil changed , but many seem to be changing the transmission oil. Is Matic j ok ? is matic S ok ? for automatic transmission Are the details/collected comments below accurate, as service will occur later today 75w90 for the diffs - 3 litres Transfer case is same atf as gearbox and steering Matic J Synthetic for the Auto and transfer, 75w90 GL4 front diff and 80w90 LSD GL5 for the rear diff Nissan Have discontinued Matic J fluid and recommend using matic S now. Takes 6-7Quarts The 3 x 1L for the diffs and ~10L for the auto with a flush was spot on For a full flush - around 10L (give or take a few hundred ml) Fill from empty = 8.3L (from memory) Z436 ryco oil filter Engine oil is the same for both, 10w40 to be best Auto - yep, Matic J (or Nulon 100% synthetic ATF). Full oil flush is just over 10L Nissan tell me. From empty to full should be around the 8.5L mark Coolant - whatever does the job. Nissan's coolant is good I have heard but I have Holden coolant in mine as Race radiators recommended it (custom radiator) Power Steering - Matic D or compatible fluids (again, Nulon 100% synthetic ATF is fantastic) ATTESSA - same as power steering Does the turbo use the oil from the engine? My owners manual states 10,000km oil change but it also states replacing the timing belt every 100,000k. I have been told I dont have a belt . Its a timing chain which isn't replaced. I read there was a compartment at the rear of the wagon to hold some sort of hyraullic fluid. Is this true for my model, as I cant locate anything. I can locate compartments on either side Do any of the stageas have hydraulic suspension?

I have a Stagea Autech arx M35 series 1 (2002) Would I use NI22401-AQ816 spark plugs and which Company is this. What is the difference between iridium and platinum plugs in normal daily driving. My last set were still going strong at 130k but I don't recall the type. thanks

This light has been sitting idle for at least 13 years in my shed. Can I safely replace the bulb with an xenon and would this significantly produce a much better light for night driving at night? I tried the passenger side but did not remove the air box (not clear if I must do this or just its a good idea. it was quite awkward and I gave up as I wasn't sure what I was doing with no vision( and a little nervous). Do I need to remove the air-filter box? Is the globe replacement a straight swap? I notice there is an upper and a lower light in the headlamp.( only had my car 10 days) Where do I make the swap, upper or lower position in the headlamp. thanks

Would it be easyier of you removed the Front bar? someone said thats about a 5min job isnt removal of the Front bar for headlamp unit removal

According to the modification list ,brake fluid was replaced but not pads. Is there a document I can download to see what must be changed on my stagea m35 series 1 ?when I go back to the compliance shop I need to have something to support my views.

Thanks zei201. Only bulbs have been removed.Why are automatic height adjustments, and washers for the headlight units so important,yet the requirement isn't met for Japanese roads. Obviously on coming glare for other cars is the issue , but surely it would be an issue for Japanese drives as well. I am curious. why are washers necessary as most cars seen to get by without them.By burners do you mean bulbs?

What is the procedure to re-install xenon bulbs on an M35 stagea 2002 series 1, which were remove during compliance for normal bulbs. Somebody told me I have to remove the wheel guard ( inner guard)and come up from underneath.Is it a cramped fiddly job or is it straight forward? Arent these lights brighter and therefore safer at night?Why were they fitted from the factory in japan but not allowed in Australia?whats the big deal for Australian authorities?

( The car had been idle for over 3 months on a wharf) The brakes had frozen and were quite rusted on the outside.The mechanic worked on them but When I drive it feels like the brakes are slightly on or I have the handbrake on. Which reputable company do I take it to in Brisbane and what does reconditioning actually mean? Better yet who should I not take it to. What brakes/calipers etc are compatible as I doubt the brake technicians will know what is or is not available for this model. They may just add Volvo gear! eg Can the Nissan 350 Z brake setup be used? Of the 4 different series 2 stagea models are the brakes the same in all models?

The compliance guy said he freed them but on driving home I felt the car wasn't rolling freely. Any recommendation for the south side in Brisbane( toowong /coopers Plains/greenslopes) for a professional and reliable Brake specialist. If I need a rebuild would that be a cost effective option or advisable

I have a 20 litre plastic container half full of oil which has been in storage for 13 years. 20-50 w. IT HASN'T BEEN TOUCHED UNTIL TODAY. Is there any reason why I wouldn't use it. It hasn't coagulated.
