  1. m35 stagea 2002 I received an email from the company doing my compliance. They wrote: Stagea’s are common for wearing out the front lower control arm bush, which would deny it a safety certificate until replaced I am unsure of what that means but is this something that is easily sourced and simple to replace or is a special Nissan part required? can i strengthen or upgrade this without affecting compliance. What is the function of this part/unit? Although my car hasn't landed yet I need to get prepared as i don't have a lot of time due to my intended driving holiday. Thanks in advance

  3. Doing the math would probably bring me on board. she who must be obeyed cant say no if you dont ask her
  4. Whats the specific difference between a Nissan filter and ryco/penrite/whatever. I assume Nissan don't make filters and just have a re badged filter but at a higher price. The common response is better quality/materials but I just take that as advertising hype unless proven otherwise. Coles did the same with Kodak film when I worked there. Same product different packaging and pricing
  5. Hi could someone please check this VIN for a 1996 4 door skyline gts ER33 034463 tanks in advance
  6. If they are happy to take your money I am sure you wont have a problem. How ,many claims have you had with them in total to asses their services?
  7. If the oil contamination is much less, why still pursue the same regime? I have read 20,000km plus for oil changes for those on LPG . I have no experience but I always like to check information from those who have. Given synthetic oil costs and oil filter costs ( without labour costs and the inconvenience of finding time to have an oil change) you could easily be spending an additional $ 350 extra if you change your oil at 5000k intervals instead of 20,000k.
  8. Running with LPG produces a cleaner burn and less contamination of oil. In what way will this affect the oil change intervals and oil filter changes?
  9. Supercheap auto dont have any catalogues to tell me which oil filter will fit a 2002 M35 stagea Axis auto. They only information they have is for a C34. I would prefer to get the type where there is a nut that sits on top to help you remove the oil filter. can somone supply model numbers and prefered brands for what I am seeking please?
  10. Are the mechanical parts for a 1996 4 door GTS skyline compatible with a 2 door GTST skyline?
  11. I have a stagea but waiting for it to arrive around the middle of decemebr. At the moment Its in a holding pattern so nobody can get to it. I need to order a tank as doing so wont be posible around xmas It would arrive late January . I want to go holidays just before xmas with a lpg system up and running
  12. In a m35 2002 axis autech ,Could someone tell me the dimensions between the spare wheel compartment and the side such that i could install a round (toroidal) LPG tank i am looking at tank with diameter of 68cm and width 27cm in an upright position. it will go on the left rear side. Also what is the floor to roof distance at the rear . There are no stageas within 100km of me. thanks
  13. The conversion was an EMER system supplied by Aust warehouse LPG. Does thta help with the ECU type?Where would I look?
  14. A garage is where a mechanic usually works.
  15. I have a non turbo 1996 skyline which has just beeen converted to LPG. The Dyno was broken and couldnt be used so the car was tuned in the garage. Will there be any or much difference if I go back and ask for a dyno tune when the dynometer is fixed up? If it was a turbo would your response be any different? I suspect the fuel econmy could be better but I am still getting used to the conversion. The system is SVI (sequential vapour injection) and I am assuming an extra 20% fuel consumption compared to petrol.
  16. As I have never had a turbo before can someone indicate on a stock 2002 M35 an average life with an average driver? Currently done 112,000k. If only the dump pipe is bigger but the other pipes remain the same size, eg no muffler change ,wont the gases exiting still exit at the same rate . I don't think anything will change in terms of gases leaving quicker. Just trying to understand the physics of a better performance. When they say fuel economy or power is better are we only talking 2 or 3 percent ,5 or 10 percent or what? . Can i get a ball park figure? Anyway I am also seriously interested based on the positive comments of others.
  17. Is it best to go to a brake specialist to install the braided brake-lines. Who in Brisbane? Have never done this and don't want to screw this up else it might be the last thing I ever do ! How may hours to do front and back replacement on a 1996 non turbo skyline? Whats a reasonable cost?
  18. What does revised springs and shocks mean? Revised to what? Thanks
  19. You don't have to accept the opinion of the insurance company after it determines the status of your car. Remember it is just the opinion of an assessor who may be very familiar with a Holden or ford but not your model, If you disagree you can argue your case ,get your mechanic to write a report and add additional information which the insurance co. may not be aware of. They will want to out lay minimum dollars. if your car is a write off you can also argue the value but it may be irrelevant depending on how you insured the car.
  20. Caveat Emptor runs through contract law . it mean let the buyer beware. You are mixing fraud with consideration. I am not addressing fraud , only your point on consideration. However the thread does not in my view concern itself about fraud , given what we have been told. its about legal fact not what you personally think, which could be misleading others.
  21. warps is dead right. Fair doesn't enter into it neither does the quantity of consideration. Think about it . Value is in the eye of the beholder. Ones mans junk is another mans treasure. The courts arbitrate on law not on value of items ( with some exceptions), Go down this path and you may as well dance through a minefield, blind folded, holding a grenade between your cheeks. your point is logical but courts dont do this i'd say the final decision would come down to how much consideration each party got and whether or not it was fair. Qid pro quo ......something for something Contract law 101
  22. can you explain what the axis autech suspension and brake upgrades are please? I have the 2002 M35 axis autech ,is that applicable?
