  1. Posting for a mate Item:33VOM QLD Plates Age:New Condition:New Price:$500 Location:Townsville Contact:0428849062 Comments:Never fitted to car, perfect for when you tail gate people - flashing headlights optional extra for effect :laughing-smiley-014: . http://adaptronic.com.au/jason/luci.JPG His name is Jason, give him a ring.
  2. MrFlex the fact that these turbos retail for $2500 a pair has already been noted.. Please read the thread, but thanks for the bump. Unfortuantly I've decided to keep them, after a few very good offers, Ive decided to keep them anyway. The cost to replace them is just too much for me at the moment, these are good turbos, just a little excessive for what i want at present. Thanks again to the people who made legitimate offers. Cheers, Robbo.
  3. Sorry to the people who pm'ed i've been out of town for a few days. I understand that 2.5k is a little on the exxy side what with the prices these are going for these days. And I'm willing to conceed that obviously its pointless expecting anywhere near the new price, but looking due to the fact that there is absolutlely nothing wrong with these units and added to that, the costs i have to meet to replace them means i could probably only go as low as $2300. The only reason i'd be selling these is to convert to a single turbo setup and realistically i'm looking at over $4k to purchase what i need. So I take it on board that $2500 is too much and i'll adjust the pricet to $2300. Thanks for the replies. Robbo.
  4. A mate of mine tuned an R33 GTR, which had a pair of these and it managed an impressive 410kw at the wheels with these turbos on 1.8bar. This shows with a few mods these should be the last turbos you'll ever need to buy.
  5. Hi all, I'm selling a pair of ball bearing Garrett turbos to suit RB26DETT - GTRs. They come complete with 1bar rated actuators, modified oil drain flange pipes, and most gaskets, so all you need to fit is maybe a few gaskets and some patience! I purchased these turbos not long ago, they're the only reason i'm selling them is that they're probably a little too big and therefor laggy for my current plans. That an i got an exhaust leak and i have had to remove them!!! If sold i'll probably be going through the headache of a big single conversion. Turbos are located in Townsville North QLD and i'll pay the freight to anywhere in australia if they're sold. and if i get a good price i'll even throw in brand-new un-used genuine nissan head-manifold gaskets. They're rated at 320hp a piece and the part/chra number is 707160-005. According to the retailer that sold them to me theyre similar spec to the GT28RS but with smaller housings. They come on like a freight train at 4-5k and above 5k they keep going and going.. They've never really gotten a proper chance to perform in my car, but I have done a 12.1 at 114mph with around 1 bar.. but they were maxing the injectors out pretty hard for most of the strip! Capable of soo much more! Theyve seen less less than 4,000 kms of use i'd estimate. If no one offers a reasonable amount they'll be refitted to the car. More specs at : http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...0R_707160_5.htm I'm looking for offers around the $2,500 mark, which is lots less than what i paid not long ago. Call me and lets talk. Please contact me, preferably ASAP and by phone, coz soon i'll be too tempted to fit them back to my car. Call, 0402.701.181. Cheers Rob Here is a picture of one of them next to my an original standard gtr turbo.
  6. I've used that trick a few times in my gtr too. Whilst in gear and rolling flick the key off and on and it goes into rwd. Must confuse the computer or something. As soon as you become stationary it engauges 4wd again. Ive also found that if your 4wd light won't go out you can flick the key whilst stationary and often it will engauge 4wd again.
  7. is it for a gtst? or gtr? would it go onto a gtr32?
  8. Hi folks, I blew up the gearbox in my GTR32 last night. .. We got the box out and theres only a ball hair of meat left on the HKS twin plate clutches. So nows probably a good time to replace it... : I'm sure a few people out there have encounted this problem, and i was wondering who's got a good (preferably cheap) solution to the problem.. at the moment I see my options as being, either A. Ditch the twin plate and start again from scratch with a new "hyper" single, or .. B. Get the plates re-bonded... (Provided the rivots haven't munged out on the flywheel/intermediate plate/pressure plate) Anyone got any recomendations? Anyone know who can do a good job on bonding/riviting new padles to the clutch plates? Cheers folks. Robbo.
  9. uuuurrrmmmm pics might help. or even a link.
  10. What would be the best bet for a mate of mine with an R33 and the similiar problem to you Cubes... Except his RB30det is worse as he's putting an auto into it aswell. Whats the best bet for higher ratio R33 diffs.. Would Z32, 3.69 ratios bolt to the standard R33 VLSD centre?
  11. I hope everyone was ok after the R31 incident! :D
  12. Hi you said in your add it calculates HP... A mate of mine once emailed me info from his GTECH.. as shown in the attached image.. Does yours offer this feature? If not do you know which model does this? Cheers.
  13. What do n1 lights look like? got a close up pic?
  14. After I received my PFC the otherday a mate of mine's interested in one too.. 2 questions.. 1. As Satanic has just asked.. can you get them for 180sx' .. Or more particularly can you get them for SR20DET 180sx'? 2. Will there be another or when is the next group buy? or can we arrange another unit or two? Cheers and thanks again for my powerfc
  15. Typical... Sweede
  16. Ohwell look on the bright side.. At least you've got a strengthened gearbox
  17. If your car is missing i'd call the police.. try and get it back man.. coz having no car is a bummer.
  18. Can you demonstrate on this picture SK? Thanks for the advice. I plan to lock the Hicas rack on my GTR similiarly to the tomei kit and then remove as much of it as possible.
  19. Sweet. I'll take one. I'll see if anyone else around here wants one. and I'll PM you. How about buy 2 get a free PowerFC?
  20. Sorry, its not visible but how you drain the bottom too? once they fill up? the square ones and round ones? Do they both have the push-in clear level indicators? are there fittings on the bottom for drain taps or bungs?
  21. After I got my GTR a mate of mine bought a GTS4 for half the price of my GTR. And he got precisely half the car.. GTS4s are ok, but in my mind the lack of torque that RB20s suffer means they are much more suited to rear wheel drive. I'd much prefer a GTST with an RB20 (or for that matter an RB25) than a GTS4. I've driven a GTST a GTS4 and I own a GTR.. Don't think that a GTS4 is a baby GTR, because they lack lots more than just 0.6L of engine capacity. Trust me its better to go with the RWD. GTSt And P.S BNR32 is a GTR and I'm pretty sure RNR32 is GTS4 and RCR is GTSt .. Eitherway the HR is definately not GTR.
  22. If your a beginner Acrylic is definatly the easiest option. Most acrylics are cheap and you can paint loads on, make mistakes and the buff it flat. If your pretty handy with a gun 2pack paints look about a million times better and last years longer. I'd have to say painting in the morning is better than the afternoon, if your going to follow lingeringsoul's advice, start closer to 10am than 5pm. Use a gravity fed (pot on top) gun with around a 1.8mm tip. You can pick up one of these for around $100 from supercheap or repco. Renting a decent compressor is probably your best bet, or better still find a mate with one. Rather than buying an undersized one. And most importantly the key to any good spray job is in the preperation. Good luck.
  23. Hi Greg, Your ad says the catch can features a removable top.. But it isnt really visibile in any of the pics.. Was that a mistake or is the top really removable? if it is could I possibly get a picture of this? Also if I purchase 2 of them it would work out as $44x2 + $10 freight = $98? Thanks. Rob.
  24. And if you are getting more stock, would the BNR32 GTR be an option?
  25. After a while when they heat up the car pings/predetonates which sends the ecu to the knock map, until it is restarted. Unfortunatly the solution is better fuel, less ignition timing, or less boost.
