  1. Does anyone know of a good place in Sydney to get window tinting done ? There appears to be hundreds of places in the yellow pages but I would prefer a place that is tried and proven. I'm just after 35% legal tint in charcoal
  2. BHDave is correct, the position of the mounting bolts is all the same. The length of the caliper legs allows for bigger rotors. The only difference is in the R34 Brembos using 14mm bolts and to the best of my knowledge the only solution to fitting them to R32/33 is by boring out the hub holes. The difference between 12mm & 14mm would not have enough "meat" to allow the use of a threaded sleeve
  3. You won't find bolt on spacers in 10mm, there wouldn't be enough meat to allow for the nut recess. The thinnest I've seen are 20mm
  4. The grease goes on the back of the brake pad to eliminate high frequency vibration which can be the cause of squealing. A shim kit does the same thing
  5. Re : R33 Clucking Noice Front Passenger Side Maybe you ran over a chicken Seriously, have you checked your wheel nuts ? You can get a clicking noise if they are not fully torqued up, especially if you have aftermarket mags without hubcentric rings
  6. Get 255's.....they are perfect for a 9" rim. If you use 245's the rim protector bead around the tyre does not stick out past the rim like it's suppose to. The price difference between the two is minimal because 255's are commonly used now. I went 265 last time and the price jump was HUGE because 265 is not a common size. I will go back to 255 next time because there is buggerall difference for a road car and I can't justify the large price hike for 265's
  7. Plenty of people have shaved "Nissan" off the calipers for clearance but personally if it's that close I would not feel comfortable, especially with "slip on" spacers. Slip ons are dodgey at best and dangerous at worst. They reduce the stud length available for the wheel nuts and are usually not "hub centric". You've obviously purchased wheels that are low/medium caliper clearance, 4 pot Nissans need high caliper clearance wheels to fit without spacers. Maybe somebody with a Gtst could help with offset variables
  8. These were removed from my car after import and they are just sitting in the garage. Somebody must have a use for them !!!! I'll even pay postage anywhere on the eastcoast or 50/50 to SA/WA/NT Come on guys, these have to go
  9. Clutch/brake/throttle $15 the lot Can post Australia wide at buyers expense, PM me a postcode for price
  10. Try Justjap, they used to carry hubcentric spacers
  11. I know that 343mm 2 piece rotors have been used with stock calipers under 18" wheels but I'm not sure if anything bigger would fit
  12. As others have already said, 255's on a 9" rim (17) is the most readily available combination and will be your "best bang for bucks". I've used 265's and the difference was not noticeable but the extra $80 per tyre over the 255's certainly made a difference to my wallet
  13. Sa3r's are getting hard to find these days but are a very smart looking wheel
  14. The purpose of brakes is to slow the revolution of your wheels, and your tyres are connecting your wheels to the road surface. Once the link between wheel and road is broken (ie tyres lose traction) there is no force still turning the wheel so the brakes easily lock up. The better grip your tyres have on the road, the better your brakes ability to slow the wheel rotation. It helps explain why all us “crazy” people spend $1500 on a set of road tyres when you can pick up “cheapies” for $600 If you think about this principle you can see why ABS was invented. The sensors tell when the wheel stops turning and momentarily diverts braking pressure to avoid lockup and allow the wheel to still turn which helps maintain traction instead of skidding. (Very simple explanation but gives you the idea) I hope this helps, but all this assumes your steering and suspension are set up correctly otherwise your “sticky tyres” will not get the chance to do their stuff anyway
  15. You've already answered your own question Fit some decent tyres and you will not be locking up the brakes so easily The best brakes in the world are no good if your tyres lack adhesion
  16. R33 will bolt on but R34 use bigger mounting bolts so some modifying will be needed SS braided lines will always be an improvement & I think gtr/gtst are the same Brembo calipers and 324mm rotors should fit under 17" rims but if you state what brand/style rims you have somebody might confirm this for you I wouldn't bother with the master cylinder unless you get it for the right price. I think the difference would be minimal Also, buy the best brake fluid you can get and fit a master cylinder brake brace (if you don't already have one)
  17. Thanks Rianto Rotors just arrived, top effort They'll go in the garage till I need them (sooner or later) Thanks again
  18. Money transferred today, bring on the 2nd batch :sorcerer:
