Yeah, would have been good to get eyes in at least some of the shots, will try again later, may pick up a difuser to give a bit more light in to the dart side of the face and the trumpet

I like, thogh maybe would havee given it just a bit more room on the right. Though I suck at static car shots mostly so would have probably just stuffed it all up

Dont realy have anything to bounce it off, even if I did have Enough flash power. Will try a small softbox when I find some $ for it and see how I go there

If I lower the flash to much it wont show the car properly, Its a highly reflective strip. Numberplates are also a problem for that mater... Both the flash and exposure as set manualy also so no use for exposure comp there. Maybe a small dome difuser on the flash might help?

Have wanted to give macro stuff a go for a while, may buy some extension tubes and give it a go on the cheap with my current lenses. Heres a few from the other day for now though: Thoughts and comments welcome Also, if anyone knows how to deal with very bright reflective bits (first photo) when using flash let me know

ICM? in cammera someting....? If so then yes, that shot was simpy converted raw to jpg and thats it, no colour or any adjustment at all

Strange you didnt get it, did you have refferences? I actualy got it this year (first time trying too) They do take their time in getting back to you, apparently the external pannel of judges took ages to write up their recomendations. Anyways, heres a few from Margaret River (and arround there ish) I took this week:
