I just had the door skin off as i was refitting my speakers. Its diffiult to diagnose when it just goes clunk! also when theres shit loads of metal in the way

Lately my drivers window has started clunking when it goes up. about 2 cm from the top it clunks like its missing a tooth and the window doesnt go up (but the auto window switch causes it to keep clunking until the button is pushed. If i pull the window while its going up its ok but yeah. I'm not happy... What do i do?

Hey guys. I need a new battery for my R30. My old one is losing starting capacity and half the cells are stuffed. A auto electrician suggested i set my system up using 2 batteries, a deep cycle battery for the audio gear and my gauges, and a normal starting battery for starting the motor. Then a guy at a battery shop was recommending that i get hardcore optima battery (http://www.1st-optima-batteries.com/) its deep cycle and a starting battery in one. Its $272 incl GST which seems to be alot of money, but also worth it in a way. But then couldnt i just get a normal battery for around $100? I dont even use my audio gear for that long when the car is off. Which for some reason the guys in the shops thought i did. What does everyone reckon? Regards, George

lol i got a 88 gt passage from a yard for $1200 and sold ti for $300....seem to be bit of a rip off in aussie for such a vehicle...

same thing happend to me on friday night. 5 mins before i got home my alternator stopped charging, the power cable form the alt to starter had fried...replaced the cable and all is sweet now!

How does one measure a cam? I have a PN KHR30 and i am rebuilting the motor shortly, i could measure the specs of the cam if someone told me how?

I sitll have full access to a wiring diagram for a L24e etc...plus i have a l20et in my car if u need any help. Just takes photos of what u need help with.

I've been told I should get new brake pads on the rear. On my r30 it uses disc brakes all over. I tried to tighten the handbrake today and i think it worked (had to get under vehicle and adjust).

Off topic, but i've been recommend to try this by stagefumer11: "ok this is a easy fix you need to turn down you full lock stopers. you will find on the lower control arms, on the end. is a adjustment screew when you can adjust the full lock stoppers. if you have a look you will see what i mean. Its a small bolt with a lock nut also. turn these in to turn the lock less. DO both sides as you can stress you steering rack if they arnt even. Get it pretty close and you will be fine. Also put a layer of grease on to the rubbing points, as going over bumps on full lock can be quite embarrising"
