hey guys, looking into converting my r34 2 door gtt to manual. Just wanted to know if people from experience could recommend any good places in melbourne to go to. And rough prices to do the conversion with everything included if anyone has done it or know from the top of their head what it costs. Also someone said the r33 gtst gearbox is fine to put into the r34 gtt. Is that true do they fit fairly hassle free or is it not worth the bother. My car is completely stock thanks heaps

hey guys, Due to upgrading to a r34 ive decided to let my pride and joy go Mods include: 17" wheels, Page Guard Alarm with remote start and built in turbo timer , XForce turboback exhaust system with 5" tip, Veilside front bar and side skirts , Vinyl decals, Hybrid Gt Spec TUbe/Fin Intercooler (latest model) with stainless steel piping, Speco Boost Gauge and 5" monster tacho, Original skyline floor mats, Yellow dash interior, Manual Boost controller set at 10psi, Blitz Pod Filter, Alpine glide touch head unit worth over $1000 when bought with pionner 6" 240w front and back speakers, Recently added ngk iridum spark plugs gapped at 0.7mm., SPENT LOTS N LOTS OF MONEY ON THIS, ALWAYS SERVICED. 70,000 original kms Very sad to see it go, always washed, garaged and taken care of, only run on shell optimax. very quick car. hey guys, The old man just yesterday payed for my r34 which is coming down from japan (WOHHOO best 19th bday present anyone could get i reckon) Anyways i currently own a r33 manual, and unfortunately my dad saw dis 34 he liked (hes an importer) and bought me a nice lookin auto tiptronic one I havent been in a tiptronic r34 so from anyones experience how does the tiptronic go? in terms of response, power etc. Also havent told my dad yet lol, but i wouldnt mind converting it to manual once i get it complianced etc etc, anyone got a clue how much a r34 manual gearbox goes for? not including labour as hopefulli my dad will get around to doin it. heres a pic if your wondering what it looks like, few scratches n dints but nothing a respray cant fix.

Yeh very similar to mine, car is fine up to 5psi, once it push more, it'l start to jerk, ive recently boosted it up to about 9/10psi and soon as it hits bout 6 it dosent like it. However today i filled up with shell optimax and it ran alrite, i was hittin 10psi with no jerking, so i though for some unknown reason it didnt like mobil petrol. However after a while it begin playin up again, in most cases jerking but sometimes accepting over 5psi. Anyways il definetely try cleaning coil packs as its probably why i cant change gear in mid/high rpm until temperature reaches half. Never taken my car to a workshop before, my old mans a is a mechanic/does skyline compliances and even hes clueless. Thanks heaps hope it helps. il let you know
