  1. Afternoon All, I know this is a loooooooooooooong shot but I am looking for a Skyline I used to own. It was a 1999 R34 GT-t, black, coupe with no wing. Imported by Imports101 back in 2005 and sadly sold in early 2008 due to circumstances beyond my control. It was sold to a young lady who was updating from an R33. At the time of sale it had 3-inch XForce exhaust Recaro drivers seat HKS turbo Intercooler 18" aftermarket rims Apexi SAFC Apexi Pod filter I believe I again saw it for sale on Carsales.com and it was in the same condition except for 5 spoke alloys. I didn't want to sell this car and am looking to get the ol' girl back. If the above info rings a bell with someone can you please PM me? Thanks.
  2. Hi All, I have a question I hope someone can answer for me. I currently own a 1999 R34 GT-t with the tiptronic gearbox (please don't laugh, some of us actually prefer auto's). Apart from the pod filter, turbo back exhaust and intercooler there are not other engine mods. However, I am looking forward to an ECU and turbo upgrade in the future and was wondering just how much power the standard gearboxes can handle before they start to suffer. Thanks in advance for any information.
  3. Hi All, A company in the USA called Yokomo specifically builds 1/10-scale electric RC drift cars. They work by placing hard plastic / rubber rings on the rear tyres which, combined with the torque of the 540 electric motor allows you to drift them. They all come with clear Lexan plastic bodies which represent cars that are or have plied their trade on the D1 circuit in Japan. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJDB8&P=ML This link should answer a few more questions. Tower Hobbies does ship to Australia and they are far cheaper than most of the Aussie hobby shops (sorry to say that, but buying in bulk has its advantages, so does a lack of GST )
  4. The lack of fuse cover is quite a common occurance. It seems our friends at the Australian Customs Service and Australian Quanrantine and Inspection Services remove it in their search for any nasties and quite often forget to put it back. Lazy bastards (pardon my French)
  5. Hello All, I have the same question as well. I am in the process of buying a GT-t from Japan (hopefully 2000 Series I or II) and have had some mixed responses from people when I have asked them how the car drives. Haven taken one for a test drive I can say with some confidence that the acceleration of a GT-t is very similar to that of the old 185kW 5-litre V8's that Holden used to use before the 5.7-litre came along. It does tend to come on boost a little later when compared to the R33 GTs but this is something you can get used to by either using the gearbox a little more intelligently or buying a good AM boost controller. All in all its a good little car with exceptional value for money when you compare it to anything that is vaguely equivilant on the Australian market.
