  1. Told you not to put that extra sub woofer in the boot!
  2. Any sub 20's for the day?
  3. Ray Hall knows his stuff, I was wondering what happened when all the Autronic support collapsed in a heap. Poor old Richard Aubert will actually have to talk to people for a change. From my 4 years using an Autronic plug in for my old STi, the 20+years of knowledge Ray displayed in support of that product was impressive to say the least. This should be an impressive bit of kit, particularly because it's plug in.
  4. Looks like I'll miss this one thanks to our friendly EPA representitive.
  5. Thanks Jack, I'll give him a buzz. Cheers Andrew
  6. Hi, are there any spots still open for this? I need to shake a new engine down and a porsche mate of mine may come down as well. Regards Andrew

  8. Ditto. I got one of those R32 GT-R HKS kits and it mounts on the left hand side in the air duct. I still see up to 130deg oil temps at the track on a high twenty's celcius day though. It's a 16 row cooler.
  9. Yeah, that was crazy. The start/finish flag marshall looked to have baulked on the flag drop and off a couple went. Was line ball but you are on a hair trigger for a mass start like that and anything is likely to set you off. Could see all the officials in the timing towing reinacting the flag drop to justify their actions. Not sure it any penalties were handed out.
  10. Saw a silver Murchie LP640 on Warrigal Road near ashwood (reg LLP640). Poor dude nearly stalled turning right to go down the hill towards holmesgen TAFE. I was in my wife's V50 T5 Volvo with her and the kids. He gunned it just outside the TAFE and it was fair to say the sound was enough for me to nurse a semi He was doing laps of the suburb as when we were on our way home saw him on the same corner again. P1 car at all?
  11. I have just come back from the PI historics. The Group A/C field was huge. The R31 and the Peter Jackson / Ex Seton Sierra were going hard, with the sierra ultimately winning out on sheer speed. The R32 GT-R GIO car was on track, great credit to the guy for putting what is probably a very collectable car at risk in a race environment. Was really just cruising around but good to see it running. A massive event well worth the trip down to the island. Regards Andrew
  12. I have the entire 91 Bathurst on DVD, transfered from the VHS I used to tape it at the time! if anyone wants a copy, pm me.
  13. Had this added with the cage went in
  14. I haven't seen them myself. You should also consider the BMAX brakes from Access Auto in Mitcham (the old Hypertech). I have used them on an STi and now my GT-R and they are fantastic. I've got a 355 6 pot front set up and a 343 2 pot rear setup. They are locally made and hold up very well. My front rotors are only just being replaced after 3 years of sprints.
  15. That's the Veyron.
  16. The WRX club participation rates having been falling over the past 2 years so these multiclubs are the only way to make the championship survive. There will be alot more of this consolidation going on as track costs continue to rise and people start dropping off as their mortgages/rents start to bite given the i/rate environment/bear share market.
  17. Lindsay's going to make sure it pays its way I think. All those paddock and VIP area upgrades aren't cheap.
  18. Yep, they have joined in the day to share the track costs I would presume. P.I. is about a $12k proposition now I think.
  19. http://www.wrx.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=47871 Looks like it might be a full grid - 34 entries so far...
  20. 50 mm PWR radiator - I have a 40mm one with the shroud - sounds like I need a bigger one Large Oil cooler, mounted in the side vents (NOT in front of the radiator) - Done - sort of - I have a side mounted HKS 16 row one - maybe need a bigger one. Tube and fin intercooler (NOT bar and plate) - doh - have an AVO bar and plate If you are consistenbtly using more than 8,000 rpm (on the track) then an N1 water pump is worthwhile - Got one Make sure you bleed ALL of the the air out of the coolant system - New engine - I assume that is ok.
  21. Thanks Ant, Looks good apart from all the fumey smoke coming out of siberia coming from my car. Had no idea it was that bad. Might need to confirm with he who shall be obeyed that I haven't broken something. I cracked my front right rotor so will need a new set before the 29/3 WRX event. Regards Andrew
