  1. Item: 4 * R34 GT-R Rims Age: From a 1999 Model Car - I've had them for 2 years Condition: Good, they are track rims so have a few marks on them - pics are attached Price: $1,800 To Fit: anything that takes a 18*9JJ +30 rim (What car) Location:Glen Iris, Melbourne Contact:Andrew - 0438 045 577 Comments: Wouldn't suit a show car!
  2. Have you still got these at all? Regards Andrew
  3. He may only return to the track when there are at least 3 or 4 stage 1 short blocks sitting on the shelf, ready to be installed because I hate waiting. We will all probably need one when we start chasing more power after a couple of 1.15's and 1.41's are handed to us along with our arse.
  4. Item: R32 GT-R Suspension and Springs Age: approx 6 years Condition: Excellent Price:$550 ono To Fit: R32 GT-R Location: Glen Iris, Melbourne Contact: Andrew 0438 045 577 Have included an image of how they look on the car. I'm not sure of the spring rates, but they feel like about 350lbs at the front and maybe 300lbs at the rear. A great combination for street and club level track events. I have had extra circlip grooves cut so the ride height could go lower but this would be below the recommended 345 Rear/ 355 Front.
  5. This is the discussion thread on their forum: http://www.alfaclubvic.org.au/component/op...68/topic,773.0/
  6. Neil Choi advised me last night that this event is full!!!! Arrghh Did anyone get a spot?
  7. Hi Andrew, I think I'm qualified to speak on this having owned a heavily modified Sti and now an R32 GT-R. My only regret is that I binned the STi and would have liked to race that for a couple more years as it was only recently fully developed. My view is that having tried both, it is far easier to make reliable horsepower with a GT-R, everything is off the shelf and of high quality. WRX's often need a bit of trial and error as there are very few that are highly developed for club sprints. I can think of maybe 3 here in the Vic WRX Club. They are hit and miss to get right, it took me two years to get it where I wanted it. The GT-R I have ran with a standard engine in club sporints for 2 years at 318 RWKW until it was rebuilt, mightly impressive considering it is 13 years old. What I have found to be a good path to follow is buy a car that is not crash damaged and has sound suspension and gearbox, trim etc. If you want a cheap one, buy one with the crappiest engine you can find, as long as everything else is mickey mouse. Rebuild the engine and anciliaries for $15k - $20k. A $20k car plus a rebuild of $20k based on this theory will get you a brilliant road and track car and you are still at the price of a new WRX, with something that will have 350 RWKW and kill just about everthing on the track. Come and have a chat to me at the next WRX track day if you want. Regards Andrew
  8. I've seen that exhaust somewhere before, only not as shiny
  9. If I can clear it with the domestic CEO then I'm in. Just need some new tyres.
  10. Not sure if the event is full yet, but they are usually well attended.
  11. I almost forgot - meet the new black Stig!
  12. I'll show you mine if you show me yours - I'm at 350kw, apparently you are at 330kw I'll post a pic of tyres as well when I get home - there're knackered. I wish I knew what my Sat times were - we will never know who was first Isn't it a good feeling!
  13. He came up behind me so fast onto the front straight I'm sure he nearly ran into the back of me. What time did he eventually put down?
  14. It was quick alright. Good work - not a bad lawn mower either.
  15. yeah, I think he was in the 47's or 48's. He had a massive lose coming onto the front straight, travelling about 200 meters on the grass at what had to be 180kmh. Good for him for keeping the boot in a driving out. Was behind him and it looked scary, but impressive.
  16. ok, I'll be the first to post an update - I think everyone else is probably at the pub. New PB for me after new engine 1.49.18 - sorry Ferni - I think that is the extra 20kw I have on you. Best save of the day - JOHN PENLINGTON coming on to the front straight and going wide and not binning it - ON THE GRASSS for nearly 200 meters at about 180 KMH it looked like - nice one Most frustrating part of the weekend - SATURDAY - massive turn out and subsequent massive traffic with 24 cars on track - was a pain in the arse. Best flame show - me I think - the back of my car looks a bit like a chimney. Was a great 2 days and I had a blast - but I'm totally rooted and need some sleep
  17. New time for Phillip Island 1.49.18 Mods since last time Racepace Stage 1 engine and Tein RE shocks and matching springs.
  18. Car is back and loaded up. The most expensive car wash I've ever had. Should be fun tomorrow.
