  1. Yes Calder is harder as the laps are about 17 secs shorter (less cool down time, about the same top speed). Yes, the factory ABS is in place. I'm not a good enough driver to out guess a computer as far as pedal modulation goes. Regards Andrew
  2. Hi, yeah it's at the end of the front straight - after 4 laps. I'm usng DS3000 pads in the front where I would normally use Hawk Blues. To me, they don't feel as progressive but will absolutely not fade - even with rotors like that. If anything they got better as they got hotter. I just need to stand on the pedal harder. Regards Andrew
  3. This will give you an idea of how hard Calder is on brakes . Pic was taken of my car at our twilight sprints last night. Regards Andrew
  4. Please post the pics and how much???
  5. These numbers don't seem to be correct. I'm not getting anything in the FAST software. Andrew
  6. Pad wear rates look good - both leading trailing and top to bottom. I had no issues with the 343 mm setup on the rex after 2.5 years of track use either. It all comes down to the ALCON bling and whether it's worth the extra $3k. Getting a woody while looking at car parts means it's therapy time!! Regards Andrew
  7. It's completely different. I love the flames out the back though It's a bit hard to get used to it when you're watching out for V8 Supercars coming past you at 270kmh Yep, it's a large outlay but I like to balance my go with some serious slow. I got 14 events out of the CSC rotors on my Sti using Hawk Blues so I'll be interested to see how these go. Regards Andrew
  8. Just to throw some extra info to this discussion, I was out at Calder today to shake down my R32 GT-R for the first time before our motorsport c'ship begins in February. I have fitted a front and rear CSC upgrade consisting of 355*32 mm 6 pot fronts and 343*28mm rears with 2 pot caliper. This setup costs roughly the same as an AP front upgrade when you consider braided lines and pads. They are locally made and Sebastian at CSC supports his product well. I can honestly say the set up is very impressive, and very well balanced give the complete upgrade of front and rear brakes components. At Calder I brake from 200 (up to 230kmh if I get the front straight entry right) every 30 seconds. I am using DS3000 pads up front and Hawk HPS pads at the rear. It's a fantastic setup and copes with the constant heat very well give the short (1.05-1.08 sec lap times). The only issues I'm having is with the RE55 SR tyres I'm running it seems the stub assembly is flexing under load and giving me a bit of pad knock off. Hardly a major issue as it's not that much. Of course I'm biased here but it's real world testing and you do a lot worse for your hard earned cash. Regards Andrew
  9. The hat is just the same as the factory setup, so it's no different. Give Sebastian a call at Hyper-Tech on 9874-8866. He's the guy that organised it all for me. I used this brand on my Sti and found them exellent value for money. Regards Andrew
  10. Thanks for the reminder Snowy, yes, I'm thankful that I had a harness that day. And no, the picture of the silver rex is not fake, I'm the one on the flag point telling the CoC to red flag the session!! I have always worn a harness on the track from day one and am glad I did. The GT-R has one and will have a cage as well. I can only speak from personal experience, if you're going hard - use a harness at the very least. See you at Calder boys. Regards Andrew B)
  11. $3,600 fitted with road pads. Andrew
  12. Boys, I have just fitted these under 18 inch rims... Front 355 * 32MM 6 POT Rear 343 * 28MM 2 POT Don't muck around, get the best you can afford. See you at Calder on Feb 11. Regards Andrew
  13. About 7-8 PSI I think - like most factory springs. Regards Andrew
  14. Ok, I thought they ran the same electronic "bleed" type set up that the GTR's do. Cheers Andrew
  15. Don't bother with the Apexi boost soleniod kit, the factory one works fine. Just buy a power FC and get someone who knows what they are doing to tune it. Put the few hundred you'll save into dyno time. Regards Andrew

I drive my 94 R32 GT-R almost daily. I went and looked for the cleanest, best condition version I could find. Even with a full race seat and heavy springs it's still nice to drive. I get in my VY SS and it feels like a tank. What ever you do, get someone who knows what they are doing to check it out before you sign up - no matter what the model is. Regards Andrew

    R32 Gt-r Parts

Cool, thanks. I'll go down there and pick one up I think - I'll tell him (Trevor) you recommended them. Cheers Andrew

    R32 Gt-r Parts

Yeah, I'm only interested in genuine parts. ABS plastic is definitely the go with this sort of stuff. I did see somewhere that Brighton Nissan is good to deal with? Anyone else? Andrew

    R32 Gt-r Parts

I can see that at some stage in the future this thing is going to get ripped off on a driveway or something. What Nissan Dealers in Melbourne have people used to source R32 GT-R parts? Can I assume that as they were locally delivered at one stage that they are easier to get than other models? Has anyone bought a new lower front lip from Nissan at any stage and how much was it? Regards Andrew
  20. I have recently bought a 1994 R32 GT-R and had AVO in Cheltenham check it out for me before handing over the cash. They are straight up and do pre-purchase inspections all the time. Give Steve Coates a call at AVO when you are ready to buy. Regards Andrew
  21. I cannot believe no one wants one of these...
