  1. I have never used a D-Jetro PFC. I'll draw a comparison with my Autronic as you could use air flow meters or a MAP sensor. They only reason a MAP based system is better in my opinion is if the air flow meters are a restriction (either by volume or resolution) or they are prone to failure (like some WRX versions). Air flow meters are more precise in transient throttle applications particuarly at low manifold vacuum. I would go with whatever your tuner thinks he can get the best out of. I'm new to GT-R's and I'm biased towards Autronic. So AUTRONIC FOR POWER!! Go the SM4 http://www.autronic.com if you're not using AFM's.
  2. Boy's, you need to think laterally on this. The same timing and the same A/F ratio will make the same power, doesn't matter what ECU you are using. I used an Autronic for 2.5 years on my Sti and I loved it because it plugged straight in. I'm using a PFC Pro on my R32 purely because it's a plug in solution. Both will make the same power numbers on the same car. What you pay for with Autronic/MOTEC is the race car options that none of us will even go close to using the way the maker intended. Don't just buy an ECU, invest in a proven and reputable engine tuner - an ECU is just a conduit for a tuner's engine strategy. Regards Andrew
  3. oops
  4. I use one of these, it's the best $1,300 I've ever spent in terms of analysing lap times. http://www.race-technology.com/WebPage2/Pr...L1/DL1Home.html Regards Andrew
  5. That's the same thing my monkey said when I asked him!! Andrew
  6. I have been using Dunlop DZ02G's on my rex and they wear very well on the track and are very consistent. That said you pay $400 a corner for 215/45/17's!! I'll be putting RE55 265/35/18's on the GT-R for the track, hopefully they will be as consistent. Regards Andrew
  7. Download a CAMS licence application from the CAMS web site and bring $85 along on the day. You may not get the stuff back in time if you mail it to CAMS now. Make sure you have some way of verifying that you are a SAU member (receipt etc). Regards Andrew WRX Club
  8. Before I give a brake shop large amounts of folding stuff, is anyone out there wanting to sell an AP six piston brake setup? Preferrably with 365mm rotors (or bigger). Regards Andrew
  9. The price is the same for each driver. You can certainly share cars, we just get you to put a "1" in front of the number to differentiate the two drivers.
  10. Sorry, they are too wide for my R32 GT-R Cheers Andrew
  11. Flaggies are always welcome. Come to the scrutineering shed on the day and we'll sort you out!
  12. I need some with the above dimensions. PM me if you have some for sale. Regards Andrew
  13. I have 265/35/18's on my R32 GTR with 18*9 +24 rims. They are a perfect fit with no rubbing on full lock. Regards Andrew
  14. Try this site, it's really helpful: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp Regards Andrew
  15. You definitely need the +22's. Even then they will be marginal without a bit of neg camber. I have 18*9 +24 and they are a perfect fit on my R32 GT-R. I need some lightweight track rims and the TE-37's are what I wanted, unfortunately they don't come in +24 - very few light rims seem to??? Regards Andrew
  16. No idea, I'll have a look and let you know. Regards Andrew
  17. Sydneykid, Thanks for sharing all of this, it's refreshing to see that people are willing to share something that takes time and money to acquire. Regards Andrew
  18. Surely someone must have these lying in the shed? Andrew
  19. Good work Sydneykid, now let's see all the R32 GT-R people posting! Skyline model = R32 GT-R Wheel diameter = 18 Inch Wheel width = 9 Inch Wheel offset = +24mm Tyre size = 265/35/18 Modifications to fit = None
  20. Can anyone tell me what the correct size for 18in TE-37's are for a R32 GT-R. My existing rims are 18*9 with a 24mm offset and they fit well. The closest TE37 is a 18*9.5 with a 22mm offset. Does anyone run these rims on a R32 GT-R and what size are they using. Tyres will be 265/35/18. Did a search and couldn't find anything. Regards Andrew
  21. Snowman, Do you know if Russel is running the AP 6 pot 365 mm set up with his R34 RIMS? I can get a hold of some I think far quicker than any TE37's at the moment. What is the offset on the R34 Rims by the way.... This thread is turning out to be very useful. Regards Andrew
  22. These things seems thin on the ground second hand so I'll put the flag up here and see if anyone salutes!! Turbos need to be in excellent condition. Regards Andrew [email protected]
  23. Cool, Melbourne v Sydney rivalry Snowman: thanks for the tips. Best I try and get down to see Ben face to face I think. Too hard to do all this over the phone or email with him. I assume he can supply all the bits needed to tweak the geometry. Good tip on the R34 rims, I'll keep an eye out for them. Sydneykid: What you say also makes perfect sense, particularly if the tyres end up being the limiting factor in braking grip rather than rotor size. More toys to buy now!!! ps. Who has ATTESSA controllers in Victoria? Regards Andrew
