  1. Modified Road Cars Category 2 4. 3001-4500 cc The only thing that tips us over from standard road cars are the injectors, brakes, adjustable suspension arms and more boooooost. It's on Easter Day, which may mean not many people will turn up - I'm still thinking about it as my kids will never forgive me. I'll be at the track before they wake up. Such a dumb date for it.
  2. http://www.vssc.org.au/Index.htm Who's going?
  3. Thanks for that. RE55's are getting very hard to get at the moment. May try the 050's next to see how they compare.
  4. Well done on securing the sponsors for another year. Not an easy job in the current climate. I have personally contributed to the retirement funds of two of them - one in particular I think I'm a major shareholder of!!
  5. Nice PI time. How to you rate the 050's against the RE55's?
  6. Ooohhh, Updates: Winton: 1.35.6 Phillip Island: 1.47.6 Sandown: 1.20.5
  7. Are they Noltec upper arms? I didn't think they made them any more.
  8. It's a matter of straightening the majority of the bent fins manually as it is usually only the front of them that is bent. Track gunge is a bastard of a job as it gets baked on with heat etc. I'll be asking the guys that work on the car to have a look at it as I have no idea how to take my front bumper off. I still run the factory grill in front of the intercooler so that saves it from most big stones/bugs etc. Regards Andrew
  9. I woudn't dismiss the need for "servicing" your intercooler as well. Bent fins and track gunge over a period of time will effectively block any air flow to the radiator and reduce the intercooler's effectiveness as well.
  10. Archie, shame to see it go, it's the only other 32 in Vic that I would put up against mine for workmanship and attention to detail. They don't come much better. To add some addtional comments on the reliability of this setup, I have not opened my bonnet between services except to let it cool at the track for over 10,000k's and that includes 16 track days over the last 18 months. My engine was built at the same time as Archies. Regards Andrew
  11. There is nothing restrictive about the standard air box. I run one at 350 rwkw and it's fine. Pods are a bit of a gimmick unless your running a T51 of something similar.
  12. I was talking to your Dad at the Aust Supersprint Champs about this, it sounded good when he said rotisserie! I have the following suspension on my R32 and it will run 47's at the Island no problem.... Front: Nolec Adjustable upper control arms - unfortunately I don't think these are made any more, but worth a look Cusco castor rods Whiteline 24mm Front bar Tien RE shocks that have been revalved 650 lb springs Rear: Tune Agent Upper control arms and traction rods - mostly for easy adjustment and to replace the old factory stuff that is about 15 years old http://www.tuneagent.com.au/public/merchan...gory.aspx?id=84 Whiteline 22mm rear bar Tien RE shocks that have been revalved ~450 lb springs I think The HICAS is still in place Nothing too over the top and have found all parts bullet proof after 5 years on the track and about 10,000 road k's. Regards Andrew
  13. Hi, I put the calendar together for my own scheduling during the year and am happy to share it. The dates are not set in stone as it's done a year in advance. Sorry if that caused you issues. The AROCA day on the 13th of December is full, you will have to go on a waiting list. That is traditionally the last track day of the year, so it always fills early. Bring on 2010!! Regards Andrew
  14. He had it there on the weekend - the red one that is.
  15. Roy, you can buy mine if you want. I'm going to give the Snowman special PWR a crack next year. The Race Radiators one that I have ran well over the weekend but I was still getting to 100 after 5 flying laps at about 30 degrees ambient. I will be fine for your car. Cheers Andrew
  16. Will the AGM include any motorsport presentations at all? Regards Andrew
  17. Matt, To get the air fuel ratio you just multiply the lambda by the Stoich ratio (14:7) for petrol. In your tune the Lambda is showing about 0.82 which is about 12:1, which is spot on. My engine runs the same number and has had the living bjesus belted out of it for nearly 2 years. Regards Andrew

    My New Car

Car is in great condition. If that's what $17k buys you now I'd be there as well - just need a 3rd garage! LOL at the photo's outside Baby Bunting, jeez I've dropped some coin there. I had the baby seat in mine before the cage went in - the seat anchor is still on the parcel shelf as I can't get to it to take it off now!
  19. The Dunlops are $650 a corner for 265/35/18. Be interesting to know what the A050's are for the same size. I wont be going back to the RE55's anytime soon as you can flip the dunlops left to right (need to take the tyres off the rims though but easy done). The extra $ over the RE55's is made up for in longer wear and I reckon the R1 compound feels faster than the SR2's. The Dunlops are 5 events old now and still provide good grip and feel. Some data from the weekend - Fastest lap on the weekend (Red Line) V. PB in July (Black Line). Both runs are basically the same (within .1 of a second). The difference between the two is that while I was carrying more corner speed everywhere on the weekend I lost a lot going through the boobs as I was lighting up the rears. Note the black line in July and it shows really smooth acceleration around the boobs where the red line (weekend) is all over the place as I wheel spin and have to lift slightly. Think the track was a bit green on the weekend after all the rain during the week, that's my excuse anyway.... Oh yeah, and my best theoretical time is....... 1.34.31
  20. I always like to see someone who is more anal than me when it comes to preparation. Fantastic
  21. I'll be at the Top of the Town with a couple of other people.
  22. Bec, if it's the 10th then you are in exclusive company
  23. Get's my vote for biggest underpants moment. Was staggering to watch him miss the cars coming out of southern loop. Wonder if they will make the kitty litter more "wavey" to address that.
  24. Saw it yesterday. Looks the goods. What dumps are they?
