  1. New PB at Phillip Island today for me 1.47.6 WICKED
  2. Just wanted to check that I wasn't kidding myself on the front spring rates.
  3. Nick, All I'll say is that I quite regularly drive my car to work and find it about the same or maybe a little better than say a HSV. (I drove a new GTS down to P.I. the other week for the historics so it's a recent comparo). The extra bump valve work that Ben seems to do on the TEINs (more bump capacity) really makes a big difference and kind of eliminates the pogo effect you would expect with hardish spring rates. You could drop the spring rates back 150lbs and it would soak up just about any bump that the reefton spur or similar type of sunday morning drive has on it. Decisions, decisions. Andrew
  4. oooook, maybe are you right....- I'm no expert. I might be getting mixed up with later versions that I thought had steering angle inputs <*goes to google for the answer*>
  5. It's based on the steering wheel sensor input into the ATTESSA black box. That's why some aftermarket steering wheels make the system go into limp mode as the boss is not compatable.
  6. I get virtually no front drive through the apex of corners with any more than 10% of lock on anyway, as that's the way I understand the ATTESSA logic works. I've got a torque split adjuster that can alter it however I find I need the grip more when the car is straightened up and the right foot gets planted. In that instance the lift has gone and the front drive is doing its thing. I've never driven a GT-R with a front LSD so have no idea how much of a difference it would make. In my old Sti it was a huge difference, but the two 4WD systems are vastly different. The TEIN RE's that I've got have had the bump valving tricked up for the big springs, with a view to making ripple strip hits a non issue. The shock dyno graphs interestingly show very little difference between the two adjustment extremes.
  7. A couple of cornering shots, both with the same setup, it picks up the inside front a bit....
  8. Ba Bow - I think they are 1.5 Litre 4's and V6's from memory, and in qualifying trim I believe they used to belt out around 1,500 horsepower. Nothing like 4 bar of boost to get the blood pumping. I was down there on Sunday. It was freezing and windy, but we go every year so wasn't going to miss it. Was in the Winfield R32 pits for ages looking at how they dealt with the tremendous heat load those things would have had to deal with over 1,000 k's of bathurst. Had the mental notepad going overtime. A great weekend and a must see for any motorhead.
  9. Yeah it does, the picture was taken as I was coming out of honda (turn 4) at Phillip Island.
  10. I'm running 650lb springs in the front, but not sure what Ben from Racepace put in the rears. Will have a look on the weekend. All this metric stuff is too hard to understand!!!
  11. hehe not with 220kw. I'm in as well.
  12. Have you got any centre vents left, if so I will take one. Please PM if you do. Regards Andrew
  13. pisser - LOL
  14. If it's any indication, the TT's last about 2-3 laps at Winton on a WRX. I would expect similar life on a GT-R.
  15. No idea, it's got all the factory latches as well so it should hang together. the pins are only insurance.
  16. I bought a Varis "cooling bonnet" new from Japan. It's a neat job. It even has a cover for the vent so the rain doesn't get it when not in "track day" mode.
  17. Nice one. I have finally taken delivery of my carbon bonnet and a set of these bonnet pins. I'm going to get Micolor to do it though as I would just mung it up if I attempted it. Kudos to you for taking the time to do it yourself. Regards Andrew
  18. Yep, that's the guy, he was falling off everywhere and generally not looking in his mirrors.
  19. Thanks - if you get time to do it - pm me and I'll give you my email address. BB
  20. Yeah, I was seeing 130 deg oil temps - however that's normal for me - even with the oil cooler. I rest the car when water temps go over 95+ as I seem to lose some ign timing past that to save the engine. I have a vented bonnet to fit before the WRX PI event to try and get some temp out. There was a guy in a white BMW that most of us wanted to punch in the head for being a tool.
  21. Best time for the day: 1.48.6 Too Windy No one looks in their mirrors Too many cars of varying times on the track Could of had 7 sessions - although they did not time the last two for some reason A big accident, hope the guy is ok. Car was a mess. If anyone from United Fuel is watching this, get your finger out and make sure there is enough fuel for me - before the actual day of competition, not on the day!!! And Ant - I see you nearly cracked the 49 again!! - That's quick for 280RWKW.
  22. If United don't get their 100 RON delivered this week I am out too without a major retune. I'm told the Bayswater station has been out for over 2 weeks and the Mulgrave one I normally go to is out as well, with the guy behind the counter having no idea when deliveries will be. ARRGHHH
  23. hehe,
  24. I'd have my left one ripped out if I raced on Valentines Day...
