  1. Can anyone scan the article for me or is the mag still on the stands....
  2. A few Phillip Island addicts (myself included) are going to attend the first PIARC of the year on the 15th of Feb. Hopefully some of the heat will have gone away by then. Anyone else looking to make their way down?
  3. http://www.rallyresults.com.au/targa/twp2009/index.asp Regards Andrew
  4. At least it wasn't a $2 part - studs are about $5 each aren't they? Great to see that you can get going again tomorrow - well done guys. Any word on what happened to Stephen Bradford? Regards Andrew
  5. Hi Liam, All the track days are interclub/all in these days. No one can afford to run a track day for their club only these days execpt for the Porsche club. All you need to do is download the relevant club's supp regs and enter. See you at the track. Regards Andrew
  6. Step 1: Go to importmonster.com.au Step 2: Sign up for an account Step 3: Buy these... http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=h...&title=TEIN RS BNR32 RB26DETT TEIN CIRCUIT MAST Step 4: Take to racepace and get them revalved and some new springs. Job Done.
  7. Tyres are in reasonable condition - tread has a good 5-7mm left as per the photos. I would think an easy 15,000 kms of normal street driving. Give me a call on 0438 045 577 if you are interested. Pick up Melbourne only. Regards Andrew
  8. I've had both a GC8 V6 Sti Four Door and an R32 GT-R. The GT-R is 5 seconds a lap faster for less money - and more reliable as everything is off the shelf. 1/4 mile times would be the same, GT-R would be a flat 11 and the Sti mid to low 12's - no contest.
  9. No, I haven't been down there yet. I will probably spectate at an event and make a call then.
  10. This is turning out to be a useful bit of chit chat. The set up I have is NOLTEC Upper arm and CUCSO caster rods. Stock everything else. Tru-Track down here in Melbourne has set it up with 3.5 neg camber and 6 degrees of caster, and have had no issues with the components and it's nice on the 265/35/18 RE55's that I use. (Phillip Island is really tough on front right tyres). It's the most caster I can fit without hitting the front of the guard liner, so can't imagine you could get any more without some modifications to the bumper etc. Be interested in the camber/castor geometry any of you guys that run in club sprints use. Cheers Andrew
  11. I had a squeeking issue with my front left and found the that anchor bolt throught the control arm at the rear had come loose. A quick tighten and a split pin and it went away. Kind of scary at the time. Might be worth a look.
  12. Nice, need to see him in the new year for a freshen up.
  13. No - it's just too far for such a short time on the track. There are also lots of closer events at the same time. But you never know.
  14. Daddy was showing his 4yo how uber cool he was with excel - fail.
  15. Well the last sprint for 2008 has been run and won*** (by me! ) so it's time to hand jive to next years calendar. Don't worry about the impending end of the world (otherwise know as the credit crisis ) - embrace KRudds mantra - and spend on shiny stuff - preferably with a Nissan stamp on it somewhere Enjoy Andrew 2009_track_day_schedule.zip *** I won the event because it was against a bunch of 30 year old ALFA's.
  16. Here is some footage of the day Session 2 --> http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=7lDtggBcaEA Session 3 --> http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=sC5lvksVx9c Some track data for all the 1.48.xx laps I've done - seems to be just over a second to be had if I can get a good lap put together - proving very difficult to do though.
  17. Yes, have some that I haven't cut up yet. Prob do that tonight. It wasn't my PB - did a 1.48 flat last time - so close it's frustrating.
  18. PIARC yesterday - 1.48.4 -just too much traffic with 24 cars on track and being released pretty much at the same time. Tried to follow Sam in his thing, but lasted the length of the front straight on the out lap - wicked machine. The 1.47 will have to wait for 2 weeks.
  19. Didn't think of the Gibson car as it doesn't hit the track too often, understandably. Be a good side by side on slicks - I don't think there would be much difference.
  20. Sam Markov's car is an absolute weapon. Best R32 in the country but a country mile.
  21. 22. I want a vented bonnet for my R32 GT-R as it sees a bit of track time and I need to manage engine temps. I have seen the bonnets from UAS and don't really like the style, but will use them if necessary. Is custom carbon still around, there was a thread a year and half ago and their stuff looks really good. Are there any other places in Australia that sell carbon bonnets that are half decent?
