  1. The guy who built my exhaust makes the tip quite long. I didn't like it at first, but now I know why. Bumper is Ok, however I get the Maguires Paint cleaner out after every event just to be sure.
  2. Interesting, I'm just following some advice from the big fella and using it.... I used it at Sandown on Cup Day and had no knock issues, and PB'd to boot. I wasn't looking forward to dropping the power back.
  3. What an absolute bonus. I was having to make a 48k round trip to Bayswater to get the 100RON before a race. Mulgrave is much closer to me. They haven't even updated this on the United web site, still only shows Bayswater and Albury. Cheers
  4. Bwwhahaha - why the edit!!!
  5. Well, not to appear vulture like, it looks like it has had a major bottom end failure and sprayed oil all over the engine bay, ignited on the exhaust and took off. A few guys on track stopped and helped to put it out. About 6 extinguishers all told. If the guy is on here, it's only money - just fix it and get back out there.
  6. Too true. After the AROCA day in December I'll book it in.
  7. New PB for me at Sandown today - 1.21.2 Was a the Holden Sporting Car Club / Ford Four Car Club Sprints Alot of varying speeds in my group would be a large understatement. A bit of battle scarring too. Another GT-R there caught fire unfortunately, no one injured more importantly. Some footage http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=0eDExeP6fC0 ----> First session, last flying lap was my PB http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=wcIDKXJp5Yo -----> Second session - a spin and a DVD sized crease in the rear quater panel
  8. Nice, here's one from the last Sandown. I PB'd in the wet. Go Go Gadget Torque Controller... http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=Ilry1IBqG_4
  9. Yeah, agreed. While the lumpy idle is tough, it's completely unnecessary. There's a black R32 GT-R that I'm reasonably familiar with that runs ~370 RWKW on standard cams....
  10. Nice, might have seen the dyno chart when I was down there on Sat.....
  11. uh oh, goss please....
  12. You blokes are clearly not married, a divorce would cost a hell of a lot more than my R32 and an R35 put together!!!!
  13. When I told my wife the drive away price, she said "You can go and buy one if you sell your race R32 and promise to never go on the track again". These cars are good, but that is too big a price to pay!

    Piarc

No fax number and it's cheque only!!
  15. I'm down there this Sunday. If anyone else is coming down, drop past and say Hi! I've got a black R32 GT-R. Regards Andrew
  16. I haven't laughed out loud like that for ages. What a pisser.
  17. Are you using the blue car? Be interested to see what you needed to do, full cage and all the other bits and pieces.
  18. John, Spoke to Ben on Saturday re: the Conti's. PM sent. Regards Andrew
  19. Yeah, YouTube drops a lot of the quality out, as the raw footage is quite a lot better. Not a bad jigger for $260.
  20. Thanks Stop playing with your DSG and get back out there!!
  21. The timing guys had the internet connection at Sandown drop out in the afternoon so they missed about three sessions, which included the one with my fastest time. They had the hard copies on the window of the timing tower though. Yeah John was about a second in front of me, would have been alot more although he seemed to have big problems getting power to the road without big wheel spin. I guess 440+ KW will do that There is definitely 2 seconds there, just need some commitment around turn 1 and the kink as you say. Matt had a bit of an off and ended up driving home with a bit more toe out in the rear than he started with. Not much panel damage from what I was told as the rear suspension seemed to take the brunt of the hit. I'm looking forward to PIARC on the 21st now, anyone else coming down?
  22. Surely you jest. I tried the CSC's with the R34 rims and they didn't fit with 365mm rotors. They must have higher a caliper height than the ALCON.
  23. Yes, they are very good forged wheel, just not designed for large caliper/rotor combinations.
