only just got the car but the deck was dead only played 1 cd!! new deck installed now i'm loving it !!!

i was wondering if u do get something like gfb stealth fx and tune it for full atmo and sometimes you decide to adjust it so its full plumbback how this would affect the car?

i put electrical tape over the button and put some plastic lid to block the button from being pushed up!! dodgy diy for me >< trying to find some other method without cutting the brown wire >< maybe like a cap for the button?? any ideas ?!?!

hmm yer i attached those 2 wires in b) to the 2 with the plastic in a) speakers seem to work except the right one as one of the wires are hard to put in! and the other 2 wires in a) still dont know what they are lol also how important is rca output from a deck, cause i'm look at a pioneer deck that has only 1 rca output. noting that i may get an amp and subs in the future and i'm not after really strong bass.

i just recently bought my car first owner and found that my rear speakers weren't working, well they were disconnected. i hav attached pics showing 4 wires coming out of the speakers and 2 wires coming out from the parcel shelf, i think the 2 coming out of the parcel shelf connect to the 2 that are coming out of the speaker but i hav no idea where the black wire and black/yellow wire go. any help appreciated. a) wires coming out of the speakers b) 2 wires sticking out

a bit of an update!! deposit is in!!! will be picking up the car end of the week or early next week!!! can't wait! not much done to the car relatively stock which it will remain until i finish uni! and yes im having alarm/immobiliser and insurance done before i drive it out of the dealer! a bit about the car: 1997 r33 series 2 gtr wannabe kit i.e 400r front bar hks exhaust 18" bbs rims coilovers i live in the northern beaches hopefulli see some of you guys around soon!

update had a look at a couple of R33s right now i'm interested in one, wanted to know for insurance how much should i quote the value of the following items: coilovers 18" bbs wheels hks exhaust gtr style bodykit ECRO33: sorry mate, it's a nice car but i'm not really in the market for such a modified vehicle, i don't think i'll be able to handle that much power...

ok i've been long time reader hardly a poster! 2 years ago i was looking into getting a r33 series 2 thats why i joined and did my research but decided i wasnt ready and i got a hyundai getz to beat around and to learn manual... 2 years later i'm on my fulls now its time to upgrade! yes i'm still looking into getting a r33 series 2! but i want to know whats the market value of these nowadays by looking around on carsales and dealers a see prices ranging from 14k - 20k i know that theres discrempancy in prices in private sellers and dealers. but i will be looking at dealers as i truly cbb to go through the process of selling my car ok i've looked at some dealers and the prices ive seen also go from 14k - 18k i've got my eyes on a stock 1997 r33 gts-t at fuji motorsport as ive heard good things from them and the price seems reasonable at 14990(does this seem right? or could be dodgy?) tomorrow ill be going to check it out see what kind of changeover price i can get ask if i can get the car checked by someone like CRD and also a test drive! haha thanks for reading my life story im so excited is there anything else that i should look out for?!?!

lol had 2 roundabout incidents both the same i'm taking a right turn in aroundabout and the opposite lane decides to take off when i'm coming around and almost head on into them

ah i was in the same boat as you. i'm 19 on my green Ps i was gonna get a r33 gts-t series 2 even checked some out today but decided to get a new hyundai getz to keep probably till i leave uni and get a decent job maybe in 3-4 years time i'll get a better car like a r34 or maybe a new wrx or sti maybe even evo or the new gtr coming out in 2007 XD i reckon pulsar sss would be pretty good with sr20 motor and as you gain more experience you could even look into modding it i duno much bout the sr20 motor so i wouldnt know if its better to add a turbo or dropping a sr20det in well thats my 1 and half cents

theres a thread in the tutorial section which tells you what to look for. if ur looking for the r33 gtst then it would have 187kw at the fly

hmm my plan is to get maybe 1 or 2 lessons just for the basics and then hire a car to do some driving in then when i feel confident enough gonna get(FINALLY) a R33 ^_^ been thinking bout it since the start of the year but i'm sure insurance is gonna be a bitch..

so if you get a eng cert for a fibreglass bonnet it would be deemed legal and be insured(ie just cars)?
