Didnt even get above 5k rpm, its nice and quiet up until then Reminded me of the old days, it isnt an SAU event unless someone gets hoplessly lost then spends the rest of the night trying to find the group!

How Loud Are Turbo's Supposed To Be In The Car?

The stock RB25 turbo makes a silly amount of noise with a pod filter. In my old R32 it was by far the loudest, The Apexi AX53B70 made next to no noise and the 3076R made more of a whistle, but nothing seems to match the stocker for sounding like a vaccume cleaner! lol -

On the topic of the intake pipe, horse power solutions could be onto somthing, what does the intake pipe look like? I think the ancient law goes you need at least 2 bends in the pipe to avoid reversion. Acts as a bit of a buffer so to speak

Dan (ERD) and Sean (EFI) are two different people who just happen to share a workshop, any Beef you have with ERD should not carry over to EFI. EFI has an osciliscope that should be able to work out what the issue is with your car pretty easily!

I think it is a great first turbo car. I was my first turbo car and since then I have owned a R32 with a RB25, a Sil80 and a R32 GTR. I thought about owning a R32 With a RB20 breifly...then slapped some sense back into myself. The R33 was probably the best all rounder out of the lot, they are now very cheap (I paid 25k for min back in the day :0!) and have great parts support, you wont go wrong with it.

after 18 months of trying I came to the realisation they are a shit daily! I would take you for a drive but I am a few weeks away from being back on the road after blowing some turbo gaskets!
