yeah when it asks to 'set recording' just go down and i think the defaults says 'start on time' and below that 'finish on time' you just press up or down on the sticks the set the time then go back up and set recording. After this is done you can go back into the guide view and you will see your recording set in red and little orange bits overlapping into the shows on either side indicating that your recording will capture a little part of those shows
