I had an Apexi turbo (AX53B70 P25) on my RB25, it was great made good power (250rwkw at 18psi) and my tuner remarked that it was one of the most responsive turbos he had tuned. However as i found out to my detriment they do not like to be oversped being ceramic turbines they will crack, get unbalanced ang break the shaft, they are no where as bad as stock turbos and if you keep the boost under 20psi you will be laughing!

I know that the Poms got R34s cause they had somthing different about them like the Gmeter was ulocked for viewing on the dash display, or maybe it was locked cant remember Ive got a movie at home that talks to the guy that got the contract from nissan in the UK do do the servicing or the training or somthing, i will watch it tonight and get all the details!

sweet! 0km is the way to go! Word of advice....we ran in annas on the dyno, took 2 hours it was so worht it because driving around doing run ins blows RB28s are porn....but not for nearly twice the price that a os giken RB30 would cost me

Nice, We did that for my RB25 for my old 32 and for Annas SR20...so much easier than getting one built yourself! And cheaper too, My 25 cost me 4000 bucks and the SR cost 800 and a pair of brembos for a R33 GTR ha ha I couldnt find a decent 26 for reasonable money ( one guy wanted 50k for a RB28 WTF?) so i ended up having to get Dan to build me one, it takes so much longer but i guess at least this time i know who built it!

I love mercury tunes...when i got one i had to get it retuned and at full load my AFRs dropped off the widebands scale! Yet still knocked its ass off at certain points. Gotta love it when people think that if they make it stupidly rich they cant hurt the engine and totally ignore ignition timing

its not my ceffie so i want to do as little screwing around as possible! But thanks Tristan. I have found a RB25DE neo, loom and computer for very cheap but i have no idea what wiring troubles it will throw up, and after 18 months of the headf*ck on Annas car im not that keen to experience it again!

Dan is very good, especially with that type of mechanical fault, also builds a mean engine!

I think only one person who actually works EFI was the driver of a car that night....and the 'skids' have been well blown out of proportion especially re the numbers of them. From the SAU club you can count Warwick, Noel, Big Dave, Chris and a few random others as very happy clients I know you guys have opinions and i have no interest in changing them but i dont want some one to come along and only see one side of the story

Some of thier clients behaved in an ordinary manner.... the people that actually worked there didnt (this is in the Baskins instance when i was there) In my personal dealings with them they have been nothing but professional and the job that did on Annas car was absolutely perfect Besided Dan they are by far and away the best workshop i have dealt with! But like you say thats your choice, differing opinions make the world go round!

EFI bashing is based on??? The GTR has been out of action for a year today though apparently it will be back by the end of feb :D

Just tell them to do it or tell them you are taking your car back, I have used this method once and it worked lol
