  1. Its not going to be anything too special, the crank trigger is really just about reliability, after nearly 10 years of cars 'going out of tune' i just want a car that I can turn the key and kick it in the guts HARD every time with out fear of frigging knock lights ruining the fun! At he moment I am capped to running only 14psi with little to no timing, it made 306rwkw then so I am keen to see what the set up is actually capable of with a stable timing signal. And if I dont like that I will build the RB28 I have wanted for the last 6 or 7 years! Ha ha I doubt I will cross paths too often with any rigs matching that description, happy laps grand prix is not really my scene!
  2. Yeah the fuel pump I have should be sweet, and I have a surge tank and lift pump ready too, I think I will give it a go on the 750s and cross the running out of flow bridge if I come to it.
  3. Yeah i noticed that in your sig, people seem to be going nuts on the injectors for e85, yeah you use more but I was suggested 1200s which to me seems very very excessive, and your set up proves that it is.
  4. sweet, thanks! I plan on doing a flex set up at some point too, I am being told that 1000cc injectors wont be enough, I will probably only make 350rwkw max so possibly even the 750cc ones I have now may be enough. Will be interesting to see what it can do!
  5. Questions for Scott, Are you running E85? Are you planning to/have done official 1/4 miles with your current set up?
  6. yes just like that!
  7. Thinking like Nick here, and it is scary, but I imagine he is hoping you will miss a gear, then he will never race you again
  8. If it was from a standing start, instead of a rolling start where every single factor is in your favor, you should be worried about his powah, but I will say one thing for you, you choose your battles well!
  9. Cruisung up a long hill in a high gear is also possibly more load than a lap at QR. Also being on the dunno is not inherently strenuous, for power runs the ramp rate is low and it's under very little load! LEAVE DYNOS ALONE *cries*
  10. That's engineers for you
  11. the patrol barges can do that for us.
  12. Yup. That when most sensible turbos are at their best!
  13. until its too much!
  14. Oh and stock it is on the low side, but nothing a cheap lift cant fix, and we are not into 'off road' where you go out and find places to get stuck and break shit, we just want a car that can do the fire trails ect.
  15. And because I knew someone would say it here is one I prepared earlier Skip to 2:40 to see a non real 4x4 take a walk in the park where other real 4x4s needed a recovery
  16. Low range, traction control, ladder frame chassis and same clearance as your navara. And at least it won't get stuck spinning diagonally opposite wheels in the air like yours will
  17. Anna is the one that drives it most and she wants a more car like experience, and fair enough she spends a lot of time in shopping center car parks ect. I wouldnt mind a twin cab but it doesn't meet the brief. In fact just about the only real 4x4 that does is a Grand Vitara. If that's no good to drive I am not sure where that leaves us!
  18. Well we are out then...I don't plan on a Navara at this point!
  19. Sweet, Anna and I have most of the cooking stuff needed so if you had shelter and an Esky you would be pretty right. We just need to find a time to get together and choose our 4x4! with Anna working on the Opera at the moment its going to be 3 weeks at least before we can even go test driving!
  20. Come camping!?
  21. They won't stop you faster or anything but it will give you a better pedal feel which is always handy.
  22. Yeah potentially any air in the system will gather there with no way of getting it out. Just swap them over next time you need to bleed the brakes
  23. I reckon he is right
  24. Ants, loving the CF detail in the map pockets. Very nice!
