  1. it is the middle of summer...i like my car It also needs that tune, i get knocking a plenty unless i take 2 degrees out of the timing when it is a bit cooler I will probably head out

  8. From personal experience I can tell you that engine conversions can throw up some problems...and apparently mine was done well and it was just rb20 to 25 I can only imagine waht a MX5 with rotary could be like

  16. There a a few people who build engines for a living that can describe many reasons why the Rb26 makes a better engine in a full tilt application. There is a thread on it here in which SK describes why and I had heard the exact sentiments before As a mild tune engine the 2j is awesome...as a "race" engine the 26 is better according to these engine builders

Depends what boost it does it at..mine does it at 7psi or less, I have the BOV spring pretty tight to avoid leaking at idle and stalling, If it does it at high boost it can be a problem as it strains the shaft with the sudden stopping of the blades. This car is only running 6psi so it is fine..when you want to run more a BOV would be wise, that said Dave ran no BOVs on his T04Z at 20psi and it is fine, apparently BB turbos are more resistant
  21. Mike I cant belive you linked a discussion on Boost explaining flutter. The thread you need is "the difference between a wastegate and a BOV"
  22. If it runs 6 psi it has a wastegate. It has to or it would run 11ty boost Flutter is related to the BOV
  23. The turbo timer thought so....it decided a 15 minute cool down time was necessary lol
  24. IT has to have a wastegate or it would run unlimited boost, it must be internally gated
  25. Lol just looking through the old piccies on my computer...I wonder why my old turbo died?? Lol damn Nebo
