rb26 cant but a built RB30 can! same bore and stroke and everything! The swap would tkae so much cash! Just spend the money you save with the RB30 on better turbos or cams or head work

People have pulled around 600hp from a stock bottom end onm a 1j and near enough to 800hp on a 2j
The main difference between the two is .5l of capacity...the 1j has a better head but

I would buy the 1j anyway, just because it is that bit cheaper and still a damn good engine (Pretty good match for a RB26 )
I was going to get one of those for my car
But apparently that particular model is crap cause they use the wrong turbine and comp wheels in the Aus version....crazy
Dan reckons to get an 040 to work properly there is a few tricks to it...I guess not everyone knows the tricks
I have seen a few cars that dont pick up fuel properly once you get below 1/4 of a tank...and somthing happened to Liz's 040 on her R33 but I cant remember what that problem was
