  1. From the web site it also looks like the Vipec has knock control built in where as the Link needs the knockblock add on? And isnt it 20psi for the link? Because you have to take away 1 bar for the atmosphere? I recent acquired a link cheap so I didnt research as much as usual so have some questions from someone who has used them!
  2. actually when I looked up the installation manual just now it appears as though you are correct and I got sold a bum steer along the way.
  3. must have changed, the RB plugin or V66 as they call it doesnt run wasted spark.

    I am digging Bozmans
  5. Except for the fact that Vipec for the RB has the appropriate numbers of ignition outputs and does not have to run wasted spark
  6. I am using it to keep track of water quality data, noise assessments, odour investigations, license condition audits of our ERA sites, compliance investigations in to spills ect ect.
  7. Its a program we are using to capture field data, I have sort of ended up in charge of it due to everyone's ineptitude. But it caused the Director general to single me out for big ups so thats all right by me!
  8. I had a power FC. Link/Vipec are good as are Adaptronic, Wolf and to a lesser extent (in my experience only) Haltech. But if budget is a consideration Nistune is the answer if you dont need external inputs like crank triggers and boost controllers ect ect
  9. Field work done, really nice day out there! Now back to making Iauditor templates
  10. Friday is my shite day, some times literally, if it can go wrong it will go wrong on a Friday. Yeah it is a bit of a worry but hopefully its just a firmware update and away you go
  11. Its getting there man, it really is. When you build something you spend the first few months just going through it finding the weakest link all the time. Its better to find an ECU issue now than find it halfway up a hill in the middle of no where! I know everyone who hasn't gone through a major exercise is always on you case about when you will get it back and how you should have it back and this makes you feel like the whole thing is a disaster....but builds gonna be bitches like this and to me its all gone pretty much to the recipe! All you can do is laugh (and cry a little), and know it will be good in the end.
  12. If you want to get the best out of the car without pushing the envelope too much go Nistune, z32 AFM, 550cc injectors and a R34 High flow turbo. Enjoy a trouble free 270 to 300rwkw. That would probably be more than enough to serve it up to an uber boat supra
  13. Whats not to like, I earn money, no managers in today, I have field work later so the day will go fast, I get to put in my overtime forms earning me a few hundred more dollars. Beats sitting at home being unuseful!
  14. I like this Monday
  15. Hey mate! hopefully your ECU comes back soon, you can be throwing scissors all over the place
  16. I need one of those for inside my car
  17. Oh and the Nistune actually has knock maps, so it will implement a map to protect your engine rather than just flash a light that says "Hey look I am exploding your engine"
  18. I actually think a power FC offers very little over a Nistune, its really only the hand controller and the nistune actually offers more load points. The Nistune has the added bonus of being cheaper. In a mild build my choice would be nistune, beyond that I would go Wolf, Link, Vipec ect. The power FCs time has come and gone IMO The stock RB25 AFM will handle up to about 250rwkw worth of airflow. I wouldn't worry about changing AFMs unless you are shooting for something above that.
  19. Fork that! Oh you and your for nows always give me a chuckle. Morning kids! Hows it going?
