  1. She has taste, she doesnt really want to go bigger than the 3 but recognises the need for at the very least AWD and ride height too low, worlds thirstiest engine in that configuration, a lady at work had one, just horrific consumption
  2. Thats Annas preference, I lean towards the Zook. but only by a small margin
  3. I already did that, all i wanted to know was if you would trade off car feel with more room for better off roading pretty much lol
  4. Thought about those, bit too low, a 6 and magnetic fail clutch
  5. Too dear for what they are, same shite magnetic clutch
  6. nah I have seen plenty, they fugly!
  7. I am not black enough!
  8. I hate how they look! I would get a real FJ shorty if i really wanted a cool old offroader though!
  9. I did once, even the 'good' road nearly ended its life
  10. I have the GTR for that!
  11. with everything other than the Forry and the Suzuki you have a shitty magnetic clutch to engage the 4x4. It overheats and you are left with 2wd.
  12. i dunno if you would get 200mm of clearance or more. thats the requirement to get over the track to my sisters
  13. 6 also not in the budget the outlander sucks a lot of ass offroad
  14. They are nice to drive ha ha clearance may be an issue, I would have a pajero evo though
  15. nope v6 economy and rego, and no electronic locker, would get stuck with 2 wheels off the ground all the time and they are ugly as f**k
  16. Oh and proper 4x4s like prado, hilux, navara ect are out because she doesnt want to drive one around town all the time
  17. She probably wont need it often, but if I am changing car I figure I might as well have it for camping if we decide we want to go further off the beaten track. Would also be handy for getting to my sisters farm, with out it the trip takes and hour and 40 minutes longer because you have to go the long way around :S
  18. 30ish Jeeps are scarily bad up close, also no low range and no electronic diff lock
  19. I am in 2 sigs that I noticed. Legend
  20. Ok Whores, opinions required Looking at a soft roader type rig, it is to replace the Mazda, so 4cyl is preferred, we need it to be able to take us camping and to take Annas make up gear on location, so a little bit of off roading is required ie if its a crappy dirt road or crossing a horse paddock it needs to be able to do it mainly to save Anna haling all her shit around on foot like she has to now. The car will still spend 90% of its time on the road around town too. I narrowed it down to a Forrester 2008 -2012 or a 4cyl Grand Vitara in the same years. In terms of engines, external size and equipment they are more or less equal. Same price pretty much The Forester is the more car like apparently, is 100kg lighter. The Low range is only 1.2 ish so not very low at all. Does have an electronic diff lock as well which is handy. Also comes with roof rails (swags can go up there) and a 450L/1600L load area. 220mm of clearance. The Grand Vitara is more truck like, has a proper low range at 1.9, a faux ladder frame chassis, also has a electronic locker and hill decent assist. It has a smaller load area, 380L/758L and no roof rails. 200mm of clearance. What say the whores?
  21. lets not get crazy
  22. You don't ever want to become Nick
  23. It certainly has its own unique song. I put it down to the head and the dumps
  24. thats actually a bit distutbing
  25. I know me, and I don't reckon that will happen. Ants, was just looking at your build pics and your exhaust, I reckon yours is going to be every bit as loud as mine, NICE!
