Oh yeah totally forgot that you went with a whole new engine as opposed to rebuild. Did your old engine die or did you get to sell it?

The plenum and throttle bodies will cost 500ish bucks or more? Then 750 to 1000 for the adaptor plate...which leaks half the time. Then you need an after market computer to run the different air intake sensors and tune wirth the itbs. The covers will probably cost another 500 ish bucks. The bonus is you will actually lose response due to the shorter runners on the plenum!!!!Might as well buy a 26 instead. Surely there are cheaper ways to troll your mates.

Probably a good idea. A mate just bought a Suzuki Alto, 12K brand new on road! And actually drives quite well, very small though, but comfortable for 2 people.

I had a stock 33 as a daily, It was a nice car to drive but in terms of fuel it was a crap daily and in terms of maintenance issues it was nearly as bad as the toy car. From my experience my advice would be, if you are going to go a daily get something cheap on fuel and get something that you can get parts for by walking into any old parts place in Australia.

I am not sure if Hyundai has got over the fit and finish hump yet, We have a lot of Hyundai's at work and they all suffer from the same crappy finish. We shopped an i30 against the 3 when we got it and despite the 3 being a few years older it was worlds apart in quality. If you are ok with that though I am sure you would be happy in a Hyundai because from my experience the engines are pretty good.

True, though I have had a few mates who have gone with ' a bit different' for a daily and have had as much trouble with it as the toy car! I need to sell the Mazdarati after the election is over and leasing stuff is sorted out. Will be very sad to see it go, has been a kick ass little car.

I wish more of the olden day American cars were converted to RHD. Was just looking now, some good prices but being on the wrong side of the car would not be great.

pretty much, its actually making me think of changing car clans, the opportunities for me to use the GTR for what it is good for is pretty limited, and using it to just cruise around is also not very good, because its actually pretty terrible at it. I went to greazefest on Sunday and saw a lot of yank tanks that I could see myself cruising around in.

Yeah I totally understand that, I am just a bit upset at myself for not going to more when it was good, I always knew that as it got more well known it would cop more rules. And people being sick kents in threads all over the internet talking about how fast they go at happy laps did not, in any way, prevent that process.

Just reading the happy laps thread, looks like its getting more restricted just as I am able to get back into it Didn't want to have a cry in there because I know the QR people read it!

Yeah. I am like ants terrible with computers. I like that when I but somthing for ps3 even I can make it work lol
