Ahhhh, got it. i thought it was something complex and stupid, rather than keeping it simple and transparent.... I find it strange that there is more deaths per year from people jumping off the West Gate bridge, than motorists crashing their cars on the same bridge... maybe the camera's should be on the underside of the bridge...

I'm still at a loss why speed.. oops i mean Safety Cameras aren't painted Safety colors. I mean i work on a lot of construction sites, and everything to do with safety on our sites, is painted either fluro orange or yellow. Surely if the cameras if were for our safety, then they'd be painted the same....

Ash, there's one in Cheltenham/Moorabbin at the Metal recyclers... i don't think they charge from memory, but if they do it would be in the $5-$10 range. It's opposite the street that Snowy works down... Ahhhh found it, Highett metals http://www.highettmetal.com.au/about.html

See i thought it was a great idea. Yeah sure i probably wouldn't have competed due to not having a car, but i would have loved to help. Maybe the 'Masters' name was a little scary.... perhaps DECA EXTREME!! (the 'X' makes it sexy ) Full credit the Snowy, Cougar and the team for the effort put into trying to get this event off the ground. It's a hard thing to do, and your efforts are fully appreciated guys!!

I've put a Pick axe through a Gas pipeline in the CBD when i was an apprentice. I got told the callout would be.... 4 fire trucks (minimum) @ $1400 each, i think they carry about 4-6 firefighters, $50 per 15 mins per firefighter. The firefighters close off about 3-4 city blocks and evacuate everyone... at least that's what would have happened, and the gas been turned on..... Phew
