  2. No timing on the day. Facilities were not available. The guys are doing a great job restoring the venue and I'm sure we will have timing soon. Paul
  3. It was a great day thats for sure. Thanks to everyone who came out and raced or helped. We had 39 starters on the day. I spoke to track management today and as soon as they are in a position to let me book another day we will be back !! I have seen some good pics around the web of the day, keep them coming guys !! Paul
  4. Yea guys it was a great day there. Thanks to all the helpers who made it possible. If you want to get into track days, sign up at: www.TimeAttack.com.au on the Join Now page. Also check the Events section of the QLD forum and the motorsport section of the main forum. Next Time Attack day is May 14. Time Attack Series Round in the morning and normal track day in the afternoon with a beginners group that will get extra tutorials in the briefing room and track side tutoring. Sorry to see you have to retire to back pain Geoff. Paul
  5. See you guys in the morning !!
  6. Be interesting to see how all the lap times compare since the surface tratment on the track. Has anyone done a before and after compare without modifying their car ? I have started new hall of fame for the Time Attack guys so that all records are on the same surface as such.
  7. The event will not be on the QR website. It is a Time Attack event. Get them joined up at www.TimeAttack.com.au for all the info of this event and future events. Paul
  8. Excellent. I have booked you in. Really hoping to see a good show of GTR's and GTST's at this round.
  9. I have some free spots for this Saturdays track day at Lakeside. If your interested send me a PM Paul
  10. Seems the EVO boys are calling us out for Round 3. This is a quote from their forum: Looks like you might need to prompt your friendly skyline brethern Paul.....I can see EvoWash written all over this one
  11. AM Session: Time Attack Series Round 3 Two rounds of the series have been run, the EVO's and GTR's are battling for the lead in the AWD class. The 2WD Forced Induction class has Noel and Warwick fighting to put the GTST's on top. As you can drop 2 rounds and still be in for full points, if you want to get involved make sure you are at the Morning session of the May 14 Track Day. Full Details: TimeAttack PM Session: 2 Standard Groups, 2 Beginners Groups If you have been wanting to get into track driving this is your perfect opportunity. We will be running two groups for beginners in the afternoon. The groups will have 8 cars instead of 10 (for plenty of on track room). Plus you will get an extended driver briefing and track side coaching by one of QR's experienced driving instructors. This is all at no extra cost. If you want to get booked in, join up at www.TimeAttack.com.au, PM me or email me at pruzic@tpg.com.au The other two groups will be run to our standard 10 car format. Bookings are open. I hope to see you there. Paul Ruzic POINTS STANDING FROM ROUND 1 & 2
  12. Hi Grunta, If you want to get into track days, sign up at www.TimeAttack.com.au click the Join Now button at the top right and fill in the details. To do sprints you need a road worthy car, long sleeve non flammable clothing (100% cotton like jeans and long sleeve shirt), covered shoes and a helment. You will also need to purchase an AASA license to do Lakeside or Qld Raceway which you can get from the track admin on the day for $55 Paul
  13. race track cherry, lol. I am thinking of running 1 or 2 beginners groups at the May track day with reduced on track numbers and maybe someone to give some instruction if there is interest. We would do it in the half of the day that isn't Round 3 of the Series.
  14. Round 2 Results. Congrats on a great outing guys
  15. Running List for Tomorrows Track Day The guys running in the (A) Afternoon or (*) All Day will be competing in Round 2 of the series. We have a stong Skyline contingent this round to win back some points !!
  16. Good work guys.
  17. Thats exactly what we will be doing. Keith is going to setup an area where he will do the testing for us. See you guys there. Any last minute entries for the morning session let me know. Still a few spots free. Paul
  18. Hi Guys, I have been talking with track management some more about the noise limit. There is a new test procedure that will be easier: Sound Meter 8m directly behind the car, engine running at 5000rpm at 92db. Paul

Woot, can't wait to see her.
  20. I have opened the bookings to the regulars who come to most track days (thus why I picked Feb 5, march 25, paid members, sponsors) as a thankyou for their loyalty to the Time Attack day. Thanks guys. After the March 25th track day all remaining spots will be open to the rest of the group. I have started a waiting list for these spots so send me an email if you want on the waiting list. At this stage access to Lakeside is limited, as you know, so I feel I should look after my regular drivers first. Paul
  21. It is the same people who buy a house under an air path and complain. The part I don't get is how they get their way. People will unjustly complain about anything, its when someone listens to them is the part that makes no sense. You get one winger who somehow can ruin it for everyone else.
  22. The test will be done at the start finish line, from the pit wall measuring your db as you go past.
  23. Update: I just spoke to Keith again to clarify some of the discussion points in this thread. The 92db noise limit is firm. If you are at all over it you will be parked and possibily asked not to return. He also said there will be a knock on to the event promoter for bringing you out. This is a serious issue and Lakeside could be closed again permanently if the noise rules are broken. The race car / street car differentiation is soley about the 92db limit. If you have a racecar that is quieter you can bring it out. Also my Time Attack day will be on Saturday April 5th. I will email out full details tonight. Paul
  24. My first day there will be a Saturday in April, but after that I will probably go to running weekdays as normal. We will have to see how it pans out. I don't think the track will be run as two half day events like QR, as access during the day has limited hours and isn't really worth dividing in half.
