  1. Yea that would be the plan, I'll run the day as per normal but the club can be grouped together in the pits and on the track. That way if you want to do some club stuff while the event is underway, it is all good. Just let me know what you want to do and we can sort it out.
  2. Mud, that is no problem. If you want I could group SAU / Skyline drivers so your all together on track and in the pits. It would be like a club subset of the event. So far I only have 5 Skylines booked in for the Feb 21 Track Day. Hopefully in the next few weeks the bookings will start filling up. Paul
  3. I loved the cruise I went on a year ago, through Cunningham gap to Toowoomba for a BBQ and back to Briz. I'd be on more cruises, but as a lot of you know my car has been about dead all year. This years mission is to get it sorted and attend more social events. Track Days. I can throw my 2 cents in here. (for anyone who doesn't know, I'm Paul the guy who does the TimeAttack thread, used to be gtrman1992, oh yea, BTW when is someone going to make my new thread sticky!!!) To run a track day you have to get organised and have 100% commitment from those who say they will attend. The 2006 booking terms read "a 20% holding deposit at least 6 months in advance of the hire date; a confirmation of a further 50% of the hire fee 30 days before the hire date; and the balance of 30% is to be paid one week prior to the hire date. In the event of a cancellation, QR will refund any monies deposited when a hire of equal or greater value can be substituted." Last year it cost $6050 for a Saturday ($3630 half day), $7150 for a Sunday ($4290 half day). Plus insurance, plus Ambulance. This years weekend rates are POA. When I called (in December) about a half day Saturday for 2006 there were about 2 or 3 spots left for the year. I currently have 260 people on my email list to put together the track days I run. For example, for my next track day on 21 Feb I currently have 16 bookings and only a handful of payments. In summary, I don't want to sound like a wet blanket. Track days are great fun, if SAU had one I'd be there and I would help organise it, if you guys wanted my input. My point is, when people say they want a track day, make sure you mean it as there is a large financial risk at stake ! Paul PS: The next track day pizza night is on Sunday Jan 29th, $15 all you can eat garlic bread, pizza and a coffee afterwards. We have a video lined up of the great moments from last year that will be shown on a projector screen. If you want to come just send me a PM. End of Ramble
  4. You just get tme over time. I think the max you can have is 100
  5. Yea I also love GMAIL. Very cool.
  6. yea I got 100
  7. Times do tell the story. I have thought about a dyno day for the track day to put rwkw next to lap times for interest. maccattack - There may be some full days in the pipeline for this year I think we have run out of forum glue to make this thread sticky
  8. SirSkyline, I went to the Clubman as everyone else said the opposite, they hated the Sprint !! BTW - Anyone, how do I get this thread Sticky and get the other one removed ?
  9. This year I plan on only using 2 tracks on the 1/2 day events. 3 hours of the Clubman with a max of 10 cars. 1 hour on the National with a max of 15 cars. There will be the usual max. of 5 groups of cars. (on track every 5 sets)
  10. Nice, I'll get the email out this weekend about it. Also pizza night will be coming up soon.
  11. Yea I was on contract last year. Just did some long days around it and it all came out in the wash. Now its a Flex day. lol. As for weekends, they cost $$$ more and the whole of 2006 was booked out by the end of December. Plus I didn't get much interest in that other thread about it. National Track is the one you see the V8 Super Cars race on. Clubman is the usual club-spec track, more corners, less straights. Sprint is a shorter one again. If you go the the Qld Raceway web site or do a general search there are plenty of pictures of the tracks out there. PS: Can someone make this thread sticky, you can probably drop my one from last year (post by gtrman1992 - my old login) Paul

  13. yea man, when the red sea was parted it was exactly a quarter mile, they used to race there back in high school....
  14. I'm not sure what is going on with the photographers. Thats all they gave me and never mentioned selling a disk of pictures like last time. I'll look into it further and see if I can get some more pics out of them.
  15. Here they are, sorry about the delay: http://www.timeattack.com.au/images/20051130/
  16. Not yet, I'm waiting for the video guys to let me know when they will be done. Probably in the new year I reckon.
  17. Yea I thought the price was a bit expensive but they were the only ones with the part I wanted. Never tried to sell me any extra stuff though.
  18. I have bought some parts from an Inport Wreckers. They are opposite ZUPPS on Ferry Rd. Southport. Down behind one of those little car yards there. Cannot recall the name, sorry.
  19. Good question, I spoke to a guy that had over a 1000 pics and he said he was sending me a CD. I'll chase him up. Stay tuned. The video guys tell me they are putting together something special, so the pizza night screening should be really good.
  20. That dude in the P76 is the same guy who used to run up front in the Atmo dark green Silvia. He loves to build an unlikely car and flog everyone in it. That was the first shake down run of the P76 so expect a lot more to come. I think it runs a lexus V8.
  21. Hey Guys, I had some new people in the timing room and they made some errors during the day so I had to delete any lap times that looked suspect. After about 8 sessions the timers had it all sorted and the data was spot on. If you had a time on the day and it didn't turn up on your sheet it is probably because it was bogus. For example, Willo you did 1:05, 1:09, 1:11, 1:11 then the 1:05 was deleted as it was most likely a mistake. Unless there was overtaking or spin outs you don't usually run one lap 5 seconds faster than all your others. Sorry if this has wiped anyone's best lap but I had to train up some new timers as I was sick of being stuck in the timing room for the whole track day.
  22. Good article in Zoom about it as well.
  23. I'm collecting pictures from the dudes with cameras and will post them up soon when I get a full set. Give me a few days, I spent the weekend getting the time sheets out. Paul
  24. What is the 'typical' cost of a respray ?
  25. I'd love to see those cars out at Track Day next year !!
