If its only one section of road then its probably some coincidence that the frequency of the bumps at road speed match the harmonics in your suspension. There is one piece of road near me thats about 2km long that my car bounces like crazy on. If its all the time then its probably a problem with the suspension, or you have the setting too stiff.

Give the plate number to your insurance co, they will hunt him down for you.

You and the GT-3 have been the Time Attack contenders all year, be good to have you there for the final battle.

I think that is for the full day. With 100 cars. Its a Qld Raceway deal. Given the response so far I don't think it will go ahead. On my track days, I am trying to head towards going full day. For the track day on Nov 30 I got a good deal on an extension of an hour to 5 hours. I just needed everyone to pay up ASAP so I could secure the funds. But I got little response from that email. Maybe I should put out a survey question to the track day group about going full day with the same numbers. The cost does not double as the insurance is the same price half day or full day and the track rental is cheaper for a full day (per hour).

ParagOn, I think I already have a spot reserved for you (list is at home) There are about 5 spots left to max out. I'll put a starting list of vehicles up soon. We even have an Improved Production race car coming out. Will be a great morning.

I have not booked a weekend yet as the numebrs in that thread are pretty low. Maybe I'll just book one or two for the usual crew instead.

I think the renewal is still $55 as last year. Week days can be hard for some people to attend, but the track rental and accessibility is heaps better for us. I give heaps of notice of up coming events so people can plan a day off. I have already booked all of next years days.

We run a Sprint Day, which is timed laps - no door to door racing. Don't really want drifting as it slows up the guys trying to put in good laps and usually means someone is dragging dirt onto the track. All you need is a Qld Raceway license which is mandatory to do any event there anyway. It costs $55 a year. The insurance is AASA not CAMS so you don't need any cams stuff.

I have a mate with a fairly hard core WRX who loves Chip Torque. On the PowerFC, I also did the research and given you can get one for about $1K with hand controller and it just plugs in without any wiring its pretty hard to beat.

Hi Guys, I have been talking to Qld Raceway and there are a few Sat bookings open for next year. They have a club deal where it is 100 cars @ $110 for the day. If you guys are interested, please post and we can add up the numbers. I can arrange to fill in the missing numbers to get the 100 from my other track day members. I was thinking of trying a joint Skyline/WRX day or something. If the SAU QLD Club already has plans for next year let me know and kill this post. I have been meaning to join (waiting for my car to be fixed). If there is a spot on the committee for a Motorsport Co-ordinator or something I can help out. Yea a spun bearing is never good. I went down the Accusump path to stop that. A bit easier to install.

If you went to the Jamboree it was the Blue GTR at one of the trade stands. It was tuned about a week or so ago. I'll post up a running list soon. Just waiting for everyone to book in. The heat should not be too bad. Thats why this is the last one until Feb sometime. It all depends on the weather. I always prefer a nice dry overcast day.

Chis Wilson, it may be the laptops ? What type are they ? We have had endless problems at work with a few laptops and their serial ports running various programs. We have now updated to Dell D800 series and they are flawless. I have run the DataLogit on the Del without a problem.

I was having a look at the booking list for Track Day. So far there are 7 GTR's booked with the most powerful putting 400kw@wheels. There are quite a few GTS's as well. Should be a good Skyline turnout !!

Sounds interesting. Might have to go for a look as well. Also if its a CAMS level 2 license event I believe you need double throttle return springs and two bonnet latch mechanisms and a fire extinguisher, some stickers showing where the battery is in the car (from memory). Anyone confirm ?
