Wow you recall the Morgan Park days. That was ages ago. It did become Skyline orientated when we started going to QLD Raceway. We will have to do a reunion track day up at Morgan Park one of these days. Guido is the only guy left from the original group still running at the event ! Hey Noel, I missed the Lakeside event on Sunday as my car is being prepped for Wednesday. We did some test laps before the SAS and it is running nicely. I'm looking foward to be back in the game this year. Mick has put in the big hours on this build and the Engine is running very nicely now.

Hey, This thread is to reintroduce the Time Attack track days. Someone reminded me that I had not been to an SAU event for a while and that a lot of new guys may not know what we were about. I have been running Track Days since about 2003, they started out being mostly Skylines but as we went more and more wanted to join us, so now its a great mix of all makes and models. Although we do run the Annual Nissan Day which is dominated by GTR and GTST's. We adopted the Time Attack name about 5 years ago to honour the Time Attack in Japan and created our Aussie interpretation. We have always resisted making our event only about the "Big" cars and have space and a group for anyone who wants to run with us. From beginners to full blown racers. Of course we love the quick cars and these are always the ones you will see pics of on forums etc. In the last couple of years we have added driver training to help beginners get into the sport. Doug (a very experienced trainer) devised a program to help beginners find their way around the track focusing on race line, braking points etc. We also run an advanced driver training session for those wanting to fine tune their driving. Time Attack days are run soley by us. We hire the track and run the event. This is one of the big differences between us and others and I think thats what makes it the best event in QLD. The pits are run by fellow racers and everyone is there to make sure you have the best day possible. We are all about maximising the amount of track time you have to set the best lap time you can. The next event is on Wednesday March 16. Spectators are free and your welcome to come out for a chat. The running list for the event is on the front page of the website: www.timeattack.com.au check it out. You will see the groups organised by lap times. Group A to D. If you have any questions or want to get involved please post them up or email me at: info@timeattack.com.au I hope to see you there. Paul Ruzic

Hey Man, I've had troubles with the website and emails in the last week. This is the third year of the Nissan Day. It is a sprint event with 2 sessions, morning (8am till 12pm) and pm (1pm till 5pm) with passenger rides at lunch time. The sponsors provide very cool event shirts for all the drivers which are 100 percent cotton long sleeve so you can race in them. There will be trade stalls from the sponsors etc. I still have 10 spots available in the AM session and about 20 available in the PM session. Cost is $140 for a half day. We also have driver training available if you want it. Its a casual day all about having fun at the track. Paul

Hey Guys, The 2010 Time Attack Season kicked off last week. I have loaded up the Holy Grail list (for those who don't know this is for cars that crack the 1 minute on the Sprint track). The quickest Skyline on the list so far is Ben in his R32 GTR and then Mick (Signature Performance) in his R33 GTST. Mick switched to semi slicks this year to put the numbers down in true time attack style. Ben has been slowly chipping away at the lap times and is now putting down some serious numbers. The EVO's are well represented, but I know a few hard core Skylines being built that should put some good lap times down during the year. Check it at : www.timeattack.com.au Paul
