  1. Hey Andy be great to see you guys at the track. We have been talking about it for a while. Thanks Col, I think its the next step for the event now to help new guys get out there and experienced guys slice off some time.
  2. Time Attack Driver Training Program – Unique One-On-One In Car Training Every Time Attack track day now includes two training groups. The training will be performed by Doug Chapple who has been the senior driving instructor at Qld Raceway for several years. Doug has literally done thousands of laps of the circuit. During his 40 year motorsport career he has won several championships and is well qualified to provide a highly professional training program. The most unique part of this training is the in car one-on-one training where Doug will give you coaching for a session on track, helping you successfully tie together the theory with the practical. Beginners Driver Training – AM Session Nov 24 Price only: $59.00 (not including track booking fee) The first time to the circuit can be a daunting experience. To take the stress out of attending your first event we have put together a beginners driver training package which is now available at Time Attack track days. • Classroom theory session to prepare you for your first outing on the track. Items such as braking points, cornering techniques and the race line will be covered to ensure you are fast and safe on the circuit. • Preparation of your car including; seat and mirror positioning, tyre pressures etc. • Warm up lap strategy to properly warm the tyres and brakes. • Cool down lap and post session car care. • In car driver coaching, one on one. The instructor will do a session in the car with you and coach you on the proper driver techniques required to do fast safe laps. Experienced Driver Training – PM Session Nov 24 Price Only: $79 (not including track booking fee) Once you have been to the track and have the experience to put down consistent laps you will start to want more from your car and yourself. Looking to improve your lap times driver training is the place to start. • Class room theory session looking at each of the corners on the track. Planning the best approach to each corner to string together a quick lap. • Car preparation, looking at items such as your tyre selection and the correct temperature and pressures to expect from them. • In car driver coaching, one on one. The instructor will ride with you and show you the braking points, turn in points, corner apexes and show you how to sting them together to perform a hot lap. If you want to get involved, email me at [email protected] and fill out the join form at www.timeattack.com.au
  3. Yes this is an Official Time Attack event. All results are on the website including all the lap data sheets and placings etc. www.timeattack.com.au
  4. Thanks Simon, lol. Prob true so I wont argue too much
  5. Check out this footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95AueKT2ghQ Hey Ben glad you guys had so much fun. We have done some more tuning. Still running around 300rwkw just heaps more torque. Don't really want to jack the power up too much more without a race seat and cage I think. Will see. Be nice to do the 1min on the current setup in Nov !!
  6. Thanks guys, it was a great day at the track. I was really happy with the turn out. We had over 40 Nissan vehicles and some really tough cars at that. The results are now up on www.timeattack.com.au and congrats Ben you did win the GTR Street Class. Also special mention to Mick at Signature Performance having the second fastest Nissan at the track, and only second to the insane R34 GTR of Mark Berry. I personally had a top day on the circuit slicing a few seconds off my PB. The car is slowly coming along nicely. Just got to get some more time in the seat now.
  7. I will let the SAU guys decide what to do about the GTS4's Running List is up on the front page. Huge Line Up !! www.timeattack.com.au Spectators are Free. Hope to see you there !
  8. A sandwich plate is fine for oil temp as most of them have the end of the sensor in the oil flow, its only a problem when there is no flow over the sensor. Take a look at the data sheet of a typical temp sensor and they are accurate to 5% anyway, this will be the biggest source of inaccuracy unless you calibrate your sensor before installation. I agree the nissan pressure sensor is very unreliable when old. A new one or aftermarket sensor is the way to go. Motul oils are the goods. Plenty of track cars run them without any problems. Look at Nissan racing cars and you will usually see Motul stickers on the side.
  9. Yes its going to be a huge day. Morning is booked out and only a few spots left for the afternoon. Hopefully a few late entries will fill it up. Plenty of top cars coming, including a few R35 GTRs. A tandum drift demo at lunch time, Motorkhana and a show and shine in the afternoon run by the SAU. Get out and check it out. Its through the support of the car community that these days become possible and grow. See you there. Paul

  16. The cost is $140 for half day $270 for full day, $10 to run the Motork. The usual Time Attack format of 4 groups of 10 cars for each half day applies. Minimum requirement is a safe car. The Nissan day is all about having fun with fellow Nissan enthusiasts. The groups are setup based on lap times so there is a group for the full hardcore and also the beginner.
  17. Its $140 for half day, $270 full day and $10 for the Motorkhana.
  18. Yea the usual stuff. Make sure your car is safe. Beginners are very welcome at this event, don't just come for a watch have a drive as well. Thats what its about !
  19. Not sure why you think this is going to offend anyone ? The porsche club do run a full motorsport calendar for the year and are pretty quick. A few of their members also join us at the track which makes a great variety of cars on the day. If you want to come for a drive with us, the next event is the NISSAN DAY on Oct 6. The thread for that is in the events section. Check out www.timeattack.com.au our calendar is up there, we get a lot of Skylines, EVO's etc. The cars that have done under a minute since July on the Sprint track are on the Holy Grail list on the front page. Check out a few options and pick the one that suites you the best. Enjoy ! Paul
  20. Its not CAMS, we run under an AASA license from QLD Raceway. Yes we do passenger runs as well.
