I have had a few guys contact me and we have sorted out delivery. I don't know everyone's real name to alias so contact me by PM or [email protected] if you have a query. r34nur, I now have the next batch of controllers from my assembler and will get yours in the mail tomorrow. I try to have some in staock always but sometimes they sell quicker than I can make the next batch. Sorry for the delay. gurglr, please contact me by email if you have not done already. I will have new distributors that you guys know setup for 2009. I will also be stepping up the batch order size to make sure I have product in stock. Paul

I've got a Walbro in tank and a bosch 044 after the surge tank. The bosch is quite until you start driving hard then it starts to make a heap of noise like a buzz saw cutting wood. It goes back quite again once all has cooled down. First time I heard it I thought the pump was faulty but the second one does the same thing. Make sure you have a good gaws on the in tank pump as well.

I've got a huge turn out which is great. It will make a top day at the track. Only have about 3 afternoon spots left now !!
-
The morning session is now booked out. I still have a few afternoon spots for any last minute entries ?
-
Hi Madaz, this question is a bit off topic of the controller as I didn't build it for burn-outs etc and have not had a good look at the drag unit for that purpose yet. I think you would get a better answer in the tech area of the forums.

Great day out. Congrats to the organisers. Should be a great 12 months ahead. I'm with you on the no air con situation. The re-gas has jumped priority !! Met a lot of new people and put some faces to forum names. I think a special thanks needs to go to Chris who was over the hot BBQ plate practically the entire time. As much as we were hot he must have been roasting. Thanks mate.

I have booked you for the morning session. I also have your registration for the time attack website so I will get this processed. I think you will have a great time.
-
Sorry you are right. I am in a R32 GTR state of mind. I don't think you can electronically disable the front drive to the R33/R34 GTR.

Hi Madaz, The controller has been built for circuit racing and will not help you with drag racing. I am looking at building a drag controller (hopefully next year) specialising in this. If you want to do a burn out you can put a switch on the fuse. Dirtgarage builds these as kits so send him a PM and I'm sure he will help you out. Unfortunately I have not been able to get in touch with Lunatikk for a while and am arranging another member to represent my product(s) on this forum for group buys. In the mean time please PM me if you are after a unit. I will offer a 10% discount for any inconvienience. I hope this temporary arrangement is ok with the forum moderators. I do have another batch of units being built and should be ready soon. Let me know if you want to pre-reserve yourself a unit. Paul Ruzic

Hey Duncan1 looking forward to seeing you out there on the 4th. Don't forget to shoot me an email as well ( I don't always know logins to real identities ). I think I recall your mates car. I spent most of the day in timing unfortuneatly. On Dec 4 I have got the timing crew back again so I will see you in the pits. Its hard to predict lap times like that. Just come out and put down a base time and work from there. Paul

Thanks Col. I'm looking forward to a huge year in 09. I hope to see a stong Skyline contingent out there as well. Just like the old days.

We will be running a 3 round Street Car Shoot-out series next year. The series will be spread through the year between the Time Attack Series. Classes: (Same classification as Street Class for the Time Attack Series) Class 1: AWD Street Class 2: 2WD Street Points will be allocated at each round during the year, with the winner announced at the end of Round 3. The Events on the Day: Each date will comprise of three events on the day. The final event on the day will determine the Street Class champion with only the top 6 drivers of each category competing. The ultimate car and driver combination will be determined by all three of the important elements that make a racer. 1) Quickest Lap: The quickest lap in qualifying is required to take pole position. 2) Race Win: Completing all laps required to take the podium. To finish first, you must first finish. 3) Shoot Out: The ability to perform under pressure. Each of these elements will be tested in the format below with the final winner determined in a shoot-out. Event 1 : Clubman Circuit Two sets of 5 laps. (1 warm up, 5 hot laps, 1 cool down) Drivers will attempt to put down their quickest lap and a race win. All 10 laps will be tallied for the race result. Points: 10 – Quickest lap, 7 – Second quickest lap, 5 – Third quickest lap 10 to 1 points for the top 10 race finishers. Event 2 : National Circuit Two sets of 3 laps. (1 warm up, 3 hot laps, 1 cool down) Drivers will attempt to put down their quickest lap and a race win. All 6 laps will be tallied for the race result. Points: 10 – Quickest lap, 7 – Second quickest lap, 5 – Third quickest lap 10 to 1 points for the top 10 race finishers. Event 3 : Sprint Circuit – Top 6 cars from each category Shoot out. One set of 3 laps. (1 warm up, 3 hot laps, 1 cool down) The event leads to the final battle between the fastest 6 drivers in each category. Lap Result: Points 6 to 1 Race Result: Points 6 to 1 Consistency: Points 6 to 1 A tie will be resolved by Best Lap result taking honors. The top three finishers will be hailed Street Car Shoot Out champions of the day. Series points will be allocated 6 to 1 for placings. If there is a tie in points at the end of the year, the placings will be determined by the following rulings, in the given order. 1. Lowest average best lap for the year. (each best lap at each round run will be averaged to give a single result). 2. Best single point score at a round. 3. Most attended rounds. Tyre Rules: See Thread Time Attack Series - Tyre Register Rulings: The organisers decision shall be final. No dispute shall be entered.

Generally, every track day will have a normal half for timed sprints in the morning and an event in the afternoon. I want to maintain the roots of our event by having a half day for guys who just want to come out and run timed laps. Also I want to ensure beginners always feel welcome and can come and have a go. We will continue to run the beginners sessions. Time Attack Series: 6 rounds (afternoon sessions, 3 Clubman, 3 Sprint) 5 out of 6 rounds will count towards points. Therefore if you complete all 6 rounds you can drop your worst result. You have to complete at least 3 rounds to place at the end of the year. A minimum of 5 laps must be completed at a round to be eligible for points. Time Attack Series Classes: Street Class, Division 1 : AWD - Battles of GT-R vers EVO vers WRX vers GT-4 etc Street Class, Division 2 : Forced Induction - Battles of 4/6/8 Cly 2WD Turbos, Rotaries, Skylines, BA's etc Street Class, Division 3 : V8 Naturally Aspirated - Classic Ford vers Holden with some Toyota power Street Class, Division 4 : Naturally Aspirated ( but not V-8 ) - All 4 and 6 cylinder cars including Rotaries Race Class, Division 5 : All cars that do not fit into a street class above. Outright Class. Points Allocation: 1st = 30 points 2nd = 25 points 3rd = 22 points 4th = 20 points 5th = 19 points 6th = 18 points 7th = 17 points 8th = 16 points 9th = 15 points 10th = 14 points 11th = 13 points 12th = 12 points 13th = 11 points 14th = 10 points 15th = 9 points 16th = 8 points 17th = 7 points 18th = 6 points 19th = 5 points 20th = 4 points If there is a tie in points at the end of the year, the placings will be determined by the following rulings, in the given order. 1. Lowest average best lap for the year. (each best lap at each round run will be averaged to give a single result). 2. Best single point score at a round. 3. Most attended rounds. Class Rules: See Thread Time Attack 2009 Car Classification Rules Tyre Rules: See Thread Time Attack Series - Tyre Register Rulings: The organisers decision shall be final. No dispute shall be entered.

Yea the GTR's have to take Year 1 of the series !!! I still have afternoon spots free if anyone is looking for some track time. It is underbooked so expect lots of laps.

Yea it would do. You can get 5Hz GPS for a reasonable price. You just have to decide on the precision and accuracy as well at purchase. As I was saying above, the timing accuracy is not just based on the GPS location data. You also use the equations of motion and most also use GPS-INS techniques. Its pretty mature technology and you should look at the specs on the system as a whole and not just a sub-system of the device.
