Any other places where you can get RE55s? Looking for something closer to Mentone. ps. A few mags (here and O/S) have done scientific test to see how much time do R-spec tyres offer. All of the tests has a pro driver, the same car and did the test on the same day by swapping the wheels/tyres on the car. They always come back witn improvement of about 1 - 1.5sec per 60sec. So about 2sec for ~1:30 lap. Though, I'm sure that the driver has a lot more to do with the 'improvements' than the tyres when you go back with different tyres. Afterall, I know people who have gone to the track with R-spec tyres only to come back with regular tyres and get pretty close to matching their times (ie. within 1/2sec). This was the case at both Winton and Sandown. From what I gether, Sandown is where R-spec tyres make the least difference in particular if you do not have power-down problems (ie. 4WD). On the other hand PI is where they make most difference and people that I'm aorund get ~3sec improvement there by putting on R-spec tyres.

Hi Guys, I need to get new RE55s for the track. Any recomendations on where to get them? ps. Last time I got them from Donetella's Tyeremen in Oakleigh.

Were there any S15 200SXs? If so, what numbers did they pull (and with what mods)?

There's 39 names listed on the 1st page. I just downloaded the form ... is it worthwhile trying to enter or should I just wait for next one? ps. Was going to bring a couple people.

As the title states, I'm wondering when will the entry forms for DECA be released? After all, it's just 3 weeks away. Also how many cars are you expecting (and limiting it to) this time?

Hi Guys, I have not had anyone put their hand up and offer more server space for the clips, so what I'll do is leave these on 'till about middle of next week and then take these down and put other ones up. Most of the 'other' clips are from the knockout comp, and the back track ... though I don't think the back-track footage is not worth posting (ie. does not look as exciting).

Hi David, Have a closer look at the results .pdf You will see that there is more than one page. The other pages have the times and penalties seperatly. Thanks Chris ... that's a nice trick :-) That's the info I was after. Though, I noticed than on the 'khana #1 the 5sec penalty against my name is in a wrong column. I got the 1st run right, but got 'lost' on the 2nd one ... not that it makes any difference.

Suggestion re the results. It would be great to see the time that eveyone got without the 'penalties'. Ie. have 2 columns for each run, one showing the actual time, and the other showing the 'penalty' time run up on that 'khana.

Thanks to everyone who made this event happen. The layouts and track sections were great. Can't complain about the time on the track, but would have loved to have at least one extra run at each 'khana as it takes good 2 runsd to get hang of it and rememeber the layout ... at least for me. Personaly I'd say that it would run better if there were 15 cars less. Also thanks to everyone who participated as it made for great vieweing while I was waiting :-)

I suggest that for the 'open skidpan' you still put a couple cones on the skidpan so that people have something to aim at. Sliding is not as much fun if you're not aiming at something ;-) ps. I'm looking forward to the day ... I'm sure it'll be fun.

This 350z? Yep that one. Were there any other 350Zs? Still, no info from anyone on the car and how it was doing? what times do the supercars do around there ??? If I remember correcly they are getting into 1:10s. And the Porsche Cup cars into 1:12s. ps. I don't think I've seen anyone go quicker than 1:18s on a 'sprint day' ... and that car seriously flying considering it was 'only' on R-spec tyres.

How many cars were there all up? Last time I was out at Sandown with the Maseratti club, there was about 90 cars. So very little track tgime for everyone. Also anyone knows what times did the black 350Z manage? ... I have not seen that one around.

I'm also in need of two 2nd hand tyres as I need something just to see me thought 'till January (city driving) as that's when the new tyres are coming in. Though, I'm ideally after 245/45/18 size. Anyone has some older tyres in that size looking to get rid off? I just need thewm to be road legal, and that's about the only requirement. I have some 7 month old hankook silica 104's in 235 x 2 and 255 x 2. Still have 80% thread left back are a bit scorched but still 80 odd %. What exact dimention are are 255s? They might be an OK match for me.

I remember there being some rumors that there might be another DECA day organized like the 'Skyline vs WRX' one a few months ago. Just wondering if there is something being organized, and if so then for what date?

Winton: Reference Lap Time: - 1:50.84, APCC Honda S2000 (Aus. Prod. Car Championship) Just a small correction guys. That 1:50.84 time for the S2000 is not correct. Well, it may be a correct time, but it's certainly not it's best lap time there. That time is about 1sec quicker then what a 100% stock S2000 with just RE540s has managed there by one of the HSCC members. On road tyres and in 100% stock cars the quick guys in the club were in 1:44s.
