  1. Happened to a mate of mine as well, turns out for him it was his coilpacks
  2. Jesus that sucks man, I'll definitely keep my eyes out for ya
  3. Any ideas of when you will be placing the order?
  4. Interested in one for a S2 R33, is shipping the same to Adelaide?
  5. Just looking to sell these as I have no use for them anymore. They are in great condition and have all the suitable cuts to fit the Skyline. I'll set the reserve at $100
  6. parish, that's the same one I'm talking about! Easy to find, just have to look, even feel around with your fingers. As soon as you locate it, it will be easy for you to feed the wires through, you just need to know where to start
  7. Easy done bud, you are right when you say you can't go through the rubber tube but if you look about 10-15mm above it you will see a hole that you can pass the cable through without any hassles. If I get the time tomorrow I will post a pic for you
  8. Hmmm.... HICAS should be disabled if you have a lock kit. Dunno about the 32's but for the 33 which I have I removed the whole HICAS unit itself and replaced it with a lock bar, not sure if the process is the same for the 32. If it is, I don't see how it could be HICAS causing your problem. Have you considered your alignment/balance might be out? Then again, I doubt this would cause the problem you are describing... I doubt many mechanics here in Aus would be well versed in HICAS, maybe call a few workshops, see if they know anything about it, try Shaun from boostworx, he might be able to help
  9. Sorry buddy, was out late today and didn't have a chance to get pics, will definately get some and post em up tomorrow night. On a side note, been stopped now by two R33 drivers commenting on the SKYLINE panel
  10. Yep, just the lines for conductivity, Jaycar sells the board, not sure on the exact name, just ask them for a PCB and they will point you in the right direction
  11. Yeah buddy, your layout, works like a charm using my resistor/LED configuration As for the color code, not sure off the top of my head but I'll have a look tomorrow as I have some left over. As for the painting, it was fairly easy... First I got contact and placed it over all of the letters, next I got a stanley knife and cut around the letters, removing any of the excess contact so that only the letters themselves were covered. After all was prepared I coated the garnish with two coats of black enamel paint and allowed it to dry. To test if two coats was enough to stop the light I placed one of the LEDs behind it and sure enough, it did the trick! Then I got the white enamel, sprayed on two coats of that, allowed time to dry and peeled off the contact being careful not to damage any other areas. Worked a treat as you will see tomorrow when I post pics! As I said, I'll probably get it color matched by a pro when I get my car done but for now, this is more than adequate!
  12. I will do so mate, I've only done this one as a test to see how it would look so I didn't take it to the spray painters, my car is white so I painted it myself using an enamel based paint from a spray can (I masked the letters) and I must say it looks DAMNED close! When my car goes in for repair (due to some assholes jumping on my car) I'll be sure to get them to also paint the garnish properly. As for the configuration of the LEDs, I am using the resistors to drop the 13.4v to a 3.5v feed. I worked this out using the following formula... (Vs-Vr) / I = R Vs: Voltage of the LED (3.5v) Vr: Voltage of the power source (~13.4v) I: Current draw (0.05A) Therefore... (13.4-3.5)/0.05 = 198ohm So in that a 200ohm resistor will do but I went for a little higher with 220ohm Too late in the night now to get the camera out but tomorrow I sure will take some photos and upload them here for you to see
  13. Well just finished and I must say it looks great! As for the part numbers, this is what I used... LEDs: 16x 3.5v 10,000mcd LEDs (Jaycar part number: ZDO156) Resistors: 16x 220ohm resistors (Jaycar part number: RR0556) Hope that helps anyone else trying to put this thing together and thanks to Al and Craved!
  14. The series 1 rear garnish needs to have the letters SKYLINE (in silver) stripped, then you need to paint over the surround, careful not to get the letters. I'm not sure if I'd use paint stripper however, to remove mine, I just used polish to remove most of it, scraped off the remainder and then polish again; worked wonders
  15. After mine is completed, hopefully tonight, I'll do the same and post my part numbers
  16. No worries, just started painting mine, hopefully all goes well
  17. Thanks buddy but one thing, what are the resistors used for?
  18. Haha, nice pics fellas, sorry couldn't make it but the girlfriends uncle took a bad turn overnight in hospital and it wasn't looking good. Hopefully the next time
  19. Seems like a fair price to me, I'm just waiting for the circuit diagram
  20. Ouch... and no insurance I hope that you get her back mate!
  21. This looks great but yeah, a diagram or close up of the board would be great
  22. Looks very nice. Sexy car!
  23. Someone just offered me $300, if you are willing to go over. I'll close this Sunday night so whoever has the highest bid then wins
  24. I'd take $250 but not including delivery, you would have to cover
