  1. i got a 600hp fuel pump, i havent upgraded the injectors but when it went for the first tune the place said they wernt maxed out, although for safty i bought a fuel reg to go in when i get the microtech, i was thinking it could be a fueling issue but i wont really know until i tune it, althought the car very occasionaly searched for idle like up to 1500 then bak down do 800 a few times so it could be the idle control valve being dirty i might try and clean it and see tomorrow, also cant remember if i mentioned it but the car idels really low with the gtst idle like 500rpm and on cold start up to like mabye 900 so i rekon that could be a little bit of the problem ill see what happenes
  2. GRRRRRR im really really f*ing pissed off my microtech didnt turn up now i had to cancel my tune till it comes in i been waiting 3 weeks for it grrrrr, and another thing to top the list i put a gtst ecu in to drive it to work today and the car is running rough as guts on start up it seems to run rich and retard for the first like 2 minutes then when you driving it sometimes it feels as if the car is being really restricted like a blocked exhaust or the boost is leaking out somewhere but it doesnt look like either are happing just feels like it hope its just cause its not tunned but i duno now grrr
  3. hey best way to run a twin charger system is with the charger then into the turbo, but if your going about doing it over time you could get the turbo all set up then upgrade to twin charger l8er
  4. hey its all good a mate just called me said i can borrow his, so its all cool thanks foe the help
  5. hey everyone i need to borrow someones r33 gtst manual ecu just for tommorow, reason being i've turboed my na and the na ecu is running to lean and i bought a microtech and its getting installed and tunned tommorow and i need to drive the car there and i dont want to risk it running this lean wondering if there was anyone who would be able to let me borrow there ecu pick it up tonight and ill give it bak tommorow like 6ish has to be in the knoxish area, thanks heaps
  6. lol yeh well i got to come down to my parents after work when i pick it up anywayz so yeh sure ill come give ya a look
  7. i promised twincharging info new one for me i found out vw twincharged car they thinking of bringing out http://paultan.org/archives/2005/08/27/vol...en-super-turbo/ and nissans MA09ERT engine in the 1989 Nissan March Superturbo http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/id/?id=132715 thats the base info on where to find info you want to do more you all know how to use google lol or as a certain user always says use the search button
  8. just to let you all know i havent abandond this project the cars going in for my microtech install - malpassi fuel reg and tune so should have an af readout and dyno graph and some sort of OHHHHH yeh feeling tommorow might be too obsessed with the car tommorow to post it straight away lol but ill get it up there when i can
  9. hey check out this old post for like a year ago got a pic of someone who supercharged his na but its a way overbord set-up looks like its got a water-air intercooler and lots of crazy pipes http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...hl=supercharger
  10. as far as 10 k rpm going to take a lot of internal work and balencing to get it there if it can make it. look around a few gtrs have high revs up to around 9000 but i duno about 10000, as for the supercharger you will need the charger with the clutch attached and the pully, wiring for it if its electromagnitic with a switch any electro switch would do, custom mounts, a longer custom size belt somewhere easy to measure and buy, then the supercharger outlet manifold could be supplied mabye have to be custom to get it into a standard round intake size, then you would need a cooler, all the piping work, some sort of pressure releace valve, fuel pump and injectors and ecu to support it
  11. ill look up what car it was tonight i cant remember what it was, and about room yeh theres plenty of room for a charger, would be less room than a turbo cause you dont need the manifold space as well, theres a thread a while ago with a pic of one thats way over board, and then there the supercharged v8 going round soo yeh room isnt a problem, its manifacturing mounts which would take the most time, piping is just piping, then figuring out where to attach the belt depends on how much you want to stuff around with the belting system, and if theres anything you wouldnt mind getting rid of ie aircon it would be a lot easier but it is still doable without loosing any accosories
  12. mmmmmmm i love love a peice of that pie, but if your going all out like that why not a rb25destt LOL or even a rb30destt THINK OF THE POWER POSSIBILITYS, building a supercharged turbo can be a tricky design although there is one jap car make about 10-15 years ago that was a standard supercharged turbo so it can be done effectivly, twin charging is great for massive torque and a big top end would slaughter anything but the costs would be massive so if you not up for the 7k for a capa supercharger then might not be possible, If you uming and arring about which to do, think more about how long do you want the process to take and how long can you afford to have the car off the road because affectivly you could do either a standard turbo or a sc14 for around the same costs supercharger might be a little more if oyu cant do a lot of fabrication yourself but it will defonatly take longer to do not a couple of day job, but its individual and it would be a mad car to drive, sorry everyone for hoggin the post just love the idea of the supercharging the skyline i think my next car im going to try build a custom supercharger, or if i fry my pistons and need a re-build i could de-comp my motor and look into twin charging
  13. cool cool i just got the numbers mixed up yeh its sc12 n 14
  14. sky 34, i dont even know if the technology was out there to tune dual maps but you could wire a trigger switch and run the stock ecu and an aftermarket unit and have a flip switch between them but it would take a lot of knowledge and a lot of wiring to make it work properly,
  15. i think the sc14 is for a four banger right there is one for a 6 i think its a sc16 that would be better suited for the rb, i've qutoed one up at a wrecker before only $400 but hard to find them, the standard boost on the 2 4agze's ive been in were both 14 psi, i dont know what models had 5 psi, and they dont run out of steem at high revs but might do in the bigger engine, you can also get a 16 psi pully kit for those ones too, but thats way over kill for an rb25, they do have an electro magnitic clutch so you can wire up a switch to turn them on and off, would sound awesome, if it was done properly
  16. from the picture looks like the exact way i was looking at setting it up on my rb25 when i was looking into it so it could quite possibly be moddifyed, if not the blower looks identical to the 4age blower so you might be able to use it as a reference or mabye gets some of the mounts only prob is that looks like it doesnt use an intercooler which i wouldnt advise on a rb25 but it wouldnt be hard to adapt the piping anywayz
  17. i think he was refering the n/a injectors to my post earlier, and i didnt pick up stock injectors cause right now i dont need them for the car, im planning on upgrading the fuel rail 550ish injectors high flowed turbo cams bigger cooler and prob a head gasket in about 6 months and who knows what condish the second hand injectors are in at least i know mine are good and up to the task im asking of them right now
  18. hey thers a couple of people on here who've done it before, theres a bit thread about it a little while ago too, i was looking into doing it and was going to go with either that turboing or building a 3lt bottom end, ended up going the turbo route cause its way easier, but the supercharger was going to be a really good idea. im driving a supercharged rolla atm whilst my skyline is off the road, lol its great cruise around then at the push of a button 14 psi, I would be a really fun car to drive instant boost and the ability to turn the boost of and cruise, if you bought the right ecu you could even have the car set-up with 2 diff maps one for fuel econ and one with the charger, the hardest part of building it all up will be fabricating the mounts and lining it up perfectly with the belt system, its best to use the biggest most belted pully so the supercharger belt doesnt slip, only prob is that belt runs the alternator i think cars not outside so i cant check, and if the belt slips then you could damage the coil on the alternator, i think when i was planning it out the best side to mount it looked like the passenger side up around infont of where the turbo would normally sit, this would give the shortest piping as well. What sort of information are you looking at?? people have said the 4agze blowers would be shit to use but thats what i got and its got 200 odd thousand k's on it and its still boosting perfectly i guess its the cheepest blower on the market and would be afectivly the same as like the stock turbo, otherwise you could go all out and get a new blower at like 2000+ then you look into diff types centrifugal (ie like a turbo) roots (standard like a commodore or 4agze) type or the other one i forget lol. its been done but its different and would def be an individual car would love to go threw more with you and see how it turns out if you go threw with it.
  19. my sugestion is if your on a tight budget then wait until you got the money to do it properly, you never know what might go wrong and end up costing you shit loads to rectify, as for ecu, i would not sugest any standard ecu as it will not be safe to drive, possibly a standard TURBO ecu with a piggy back, but aftermarket is always best, as for r32 ecu it will work but i think something has to be done to it to make it work ie some pins have to change or somethingh and it will need to be re-mapped and you will need an aftermarket cam controller, dr. drift suply and fit r32 re-mapped ecu's with cam controler for around the $1300 including dyno time, or you could spend the extra 500ish for an aftermarket unit tuned,
  20. http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/...;product_type=1 look look look
  21. that camera plays up all the time, ive been flashed twice and never got a ticket cause i wasnt doing anything wrong, and i've seen heaps of people get flashed when they arn't speeding or didnt run red light, it only gets you for speeding if the light is amber or red, but the camera even goes off when there is no-one going threw the intersection, i go past it like twice a day thats my experience, theres also a falty one on the corner of wantirna rd and maroondah hwy that goes off randomly too
  22. its an easier conversion to use the non turbo rb25 head its ment to almost just bolt straight in, plus it would be way cheeper you can get full rb25de's for like 800, then get the individual throttle body system from an rb26 make a custom mounting plate for it and if you high flow the head a little in all complete build would turn out a little less for the rb25 and the power difference would be minimal with the high flowed head you might even be able topull more power than the 26 head
  23. i bought one cause i've just turboed my na and havent upgraded the injectors but a little extra pressure will make them flow a little better as i dont quite need to replace the injectors just yet, putting it on on friday when the car goes on the dyno. ill see how it goes.
  24. hey my microtech is coming in on tuesday YAY i cant wait, but i could get it booked in for a tune until friday, do you guys think the car will be safe to drive (cruiseing it of course) with the base tune of the microtech, its a base tune for a turbo gtst that is ment to run really rich so that the car can be driven to the tunners no matter what sort of state the car is in, you guys think it will be safe or should i not risk it???
