  9. what size is the ka24?? y do you think it wouldnt do much for preformance?? Your effectively increacing the amount of air that can into the plenum, the more air the better,
  10. G, that helped heaps, looks like a worth while mod for me to do whilst i have no licence, might be a little bit different for my rb25 but thankz for the hint of using the xf throttle body, ill post up a tutorial on how i go when i've got mine all done prob wont be for a few months thou,
  11. Just wondering upgrading your throttle body to a bigger item, say a 90mm how much power does gain would it give you, is it hard to modify a Q45 throttle body to fit an n/a r33??
  12. jetspeed, xxx bodykits in dandy, sinnex in cbd somewhereish they the three major ones in eastern subs way
  13. I have had a tiny shudder threw my steering wheel when braking not a big prob just though it was mabye tie rod ens, disc's or wheel alignment/balancing but as of yesterday i figuered out it must be something way worse , Its gotten way worse now grrrr whenever im traveling over 60 kms n i take my foot off the gas the whole left side of the car shudders threw some suspention i think its stronger on the back wheels, it i figured as it was not happening when i put the pedal down that it might be a Diff problem but then now today it seems as if when i put my clutch in it is slightly worse and it trys to kick the car to the left a little, the shudder is quite loud u can here it quite clearly., so i figured from that mabye it is something to do with the drive shafts?? i gto told also it could be the centre mount on the tail shaft, the car is horribe when steering when i turn left it seems to turn really quickly where-as when i turn right it seems as if its just going to 360. Anyone got any suggestions help needed my mechanics away for 2 weeks grrr its a series 1 r33 gts25 by the way
  14. Just wondering if any one out there has put put on any of that fake carbon fiber stuff on their boot?? Anyone got pic's where bouts can you get it done n approx how much would it cost??
  15. i got an na and i've had it happen a few times on cold mornings when i idle it fluctuates from 1000-1500 but its happened i think 4 or 5 times in 7 months, i think it might have to do with the engine trying to warm up but could be the idle control??
  16. wtf i thought the vic p plater rules were shit with our restrictions n shit but not even being aloud modify your car, n loosing your licence if u do thats f..ked mind the language, what happens if your driving a mates car ause they decided to drink n they were off there p's?? are the cops arseholes like they are in melb, grrr Petit pulled me over the other day, luckly got away with only an epa
  17. i already got a rb25de, i'd be looking at either rb25det or rb26dett, although rb26 doesnt seem very feesiably, i replaced the clutch cause it burnt out which was wierd at 40,000, and as it shattered and not just burnt out we checked out everything else n nothing else was dammaged or in bad condition, we think the the jap owner was female as there were a few indications left in the car, they must have ridden the clutch a lot cause it hasnt had any dammage to anything else, unless ofcourse there were a lot of replacments
  18. do they even do any preformance for you??? does helping the crankcase breath help in any preformance way or are catch can's mostely done for looks???
  19. i've already upgraded my clutch, n i havent ever had any problems with my diff, i think it has stock lsd as on the diff housing it has a viscous lsd sticker on it, although the lsd light on the dash has never light up, i also think it might have lsd cause it's defonatly dual spinners, doesnt seem like there is any gearbox prob's, the cars done 40,000 km's n as far as my 3 very good mechanic friends they say the car cant have done more than 60,000 if it's been wound back but it most likely hadn't been, so i'd be right to say i would be able to do the conversion only with the engine and a new computer right?? im not looking to do it anytime soon if i even do it, finishing off my look's before i get into any engine mods just trying to decide the best way to go,
  20. the easiest way to wire up the two amps is to run one wire which is at least 6 but better to be 8 gauge from the battery + to your preferable 60 amp fuse and then continue that thicker wire into the cabin and wire it into a power splitting box, you can get stackes of em from jb or whatever they just a metal conductive box with plasic around it and u screw the wires in, you can put the one feed from the +12 into it and then 2 wires out, these wires dont have to be as thick as the original wire but i would suggest at least 6 gauge, wire these two +12 wires into your different amps, then run sepparate ground wires going to different spots for both the amps, and with the REM (remote) wire run it from the headunit into the first amp and then connect it up to the 2nd amp, it doesnt matter isf it runs in parrallel or series it only used to tell the amps to turn on, with four rca's if u have frt rear and sub out, run the frt n rear out's to the amp with the speekers and the sub out to the sub ect if not use splitters, hopefully this helps you AND SAVES SOME MONEY
  21. i have my front splits 6.5" alpine woffers in the door and tweeter on top corners of the dash wired into the amp in the back and my splitter boxes are next to each other underneath where the headunit is mounted on the carpet behind everything, everything is nice and hidden and easy that way cause you can use the factory wiring for the door speekers and wire it into the splitter box and run new wiring for the tweeters and if its going to the headunit almost no extra wire lenght needed
  22. if you havent had any problem's with whining in this car before and theres no-interferance anywhere from an outside source, its most likly a grounding problem as mentioned ealier, it could also be a power leak somewhere into either the ground loop or the 12+ loop, if re-grounding everything up mabye try running just one long wire from the gound of the dvd unit straight to the earth in the battery just temporaraly if the whine goes away its a problem with your ground loop, so try gorunding in a different spot or use a different route, if it still occurs it could be a 12+ problem which is more difficult to fix, if possible try a different power source, if all fail's find somone who has an ossiliscope thingy which meausers your power/ earth frequency's and try and source where the interfeerance is comming from, other than that mabye it is an alternator causeed problem, which i doubt if the sound does go away, another possibility is you may have your remote wire plugged (or any of the dvd wires) into the wrong spot and so it could cause some sort of feedback when the unit is off but then when it is turned this wire could react different with constant current running down it, i know i had this problem one time when i grouned a mates head unit up to what seemed to be an earth wire n turned out to be an accessory wire which stayed earth untill activated, if all fails try temporarly installing the dvd unit to an external sources (another car, or threw a computer -- or some sort of 12 power sorce) and make sure the gear isnt the problem
  23. how have you connectected your wires??? i've done quite a lot of audio stuff and most of the problems i've incountered with problem's with previous systems in the car or when i first started was that a lot of the wires wernt connected together properly, and could have come unplus, some lug's dont seem to connect as well as other's soildering is alwayz the best solution but very permanent. also before you rip out the panels mabye look at what fueses do what in the dash n c if any could possibily cause it to not be working, although if, your constant 12+ is working which is y you would be able to incert a cd, then most likey as said earlier its to do with the accessory wire, and on most head unit's this wire isn't fuesed with an inline fused as there are stacks of accessory fusses in your dash,my guess as i said earlier would be wiring n unfortunatly would mean taking it all out, and if its that hard to take everything out and it does end up being a connection make sure all the other connections will hold cause it would be a pain to have to do it all agian and agian and agian as i had to do with my first car/install i think i wired up my system 7 different times till i got it perfect although i was constintly adding stuff and experimenting with positioning and speekers n stuff skyline was easy stereo install n it sounds f*ken madd as
