  1. Check the terminals are tight. Check all fuses. Check the fuses for the alarm aswell which will be above the pedals tucked up
  2. ^^^ what he said. Paul did explain it to me but waaaay to long to write especially on my phone. Well said bigmike
  3. Xr6 boost is controlled by the ecu. Im curious to see what happens. Best to just get a tune.
  4. Remember guys RB25 isnt the bad guy here. He is helping us all understand so go easy. The part i like is the word "safe" when clearing defects in RB25's post above. My version of safe is it can handle the race track and road use, has been maintained etc. But as some HWP officers show there version is much different. My worst experience with an HWP officer is when he came to the window for an RBT i said "how are u today buddy" as i do to nearly every one, his reply was "im not ur buddy", i said "how are u sir?", Replied " im not ur sir either, that doesnt justify my name or my rank". to me that is un australian and rude on his behalf. He went on to try and defect for a twin turbo silvia, which was single turbo and he was pointing to the inlet manifold. Gave a defect and said it MUST b cleared by the rta heavy vehicle inspection station. Rang the rta up and they said he has no right to do that and it would be wasting there time. Rta said any blue slip place can inspect it. That sort of thing makes me lose a little respect for certain officers. Thanks mr Davies
  5. 3000rpm is more than likely a bigend bearing. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but i hope im wrong. Try disconnecting the coil pack on cylinder 3 when its rattling and see if it stops or not. Try cyl 2 and 4 aswell. Try each cylinder 1 at a time. If it goes quiet then that is ur cylinder with the dud bearing or piston. Do an oil change and see if there is metallic particles in the oil.
  6. Scary.
  7. Turn the head lights on and try to crank it. If the lights dim right down the battery may be the issue or the starter has a Dead short inside it. If the lights stay bright it may be the starter motor solenoid.
  8. Caltex in gosford has been out for 2 weeks. All fixed now they are waiting for a fill up from the tanker
  9. Got my motor running today. Kinaguwa looks good spinning finally. Still waiting on cooler piping and cooler to be modified.
  10. Black is - and red is +
  11. Hose will be fine
  12. Try gapping the plugs down to .8mm and retest. If that doesnt fix it chances are u need new coilpacks.
  13. ^^^yep will start. But very poorly and not for long. It will flood the cylinders with fuel and foul the spark plugs
  14. Depends on turbo selection though.
  15. Was proven on twoogle. Made 50kw more and around 1000rpm more response
  16. What was the pinging/knocking issue abuser? Post a pic of ur intake setup. What sort of dyno are u using? Tyres etc
  17. Marko it was the t51 or 62 or whatever u would like to call the mixed turbo that made the bigger numbers
  18. Pull the spark plugs back out and gap them to .8mm and retest. Did u change the fuel pump?
  19. HotRodderJoe - Alot of parts clearly state race use only. Thats how they get away with selling them. Its up to the user to choose whether or not to take the risk of using on the road. Im sure the police have seen there fair share of dodgy modded cars, so they have to treat all as a possibility. Same as guns though theyre more dangerous when in the wrong hands
  20. How far in sydney?
  21. Always have to check ring gaps Legionnaire. I cant picture a ring gap inproperly set causing the ringlands to break but thats just my opinion To me it would crack the rings and kill the bores
  22. U need to try bigger cams like 290's. Will premote earlier spool and more power with ur RS's
  23. Trippy
  24. Try putting the stock coil packs back in to see if that fixes it.
  25. Also try disconnecting the 02sensor. Put some new spark plugs in at the same time and then see
