  4. The price really depends how far u want to take the build. What u will be using the car for, what turbo an power goals, what fuel Just forged pistons and rods? Then a decent oil pump, VRS kit (new gaskets for entire motor) Machine work Then the head Just a service with new lifters (new lifters are $2400ish) Or with tomei solid conversion new valves
  5. Correct. A few things like fuel temp sensor needs to be changed inside the z32 ecu. Ill be doing a z32ecu to rb25 on my new 32gtst drifter. Just need to find an ecu for cheap.
  6. Haha u hit the nail on the head. Doesnt make sense why a tuning shop woul have there dyno calibrated 20kw lower than it should be then tell customers. I use a mainline aswell as Rondofj stated and unlike dyno dynamics u cant fudge the figures as easy. Like cheating with inlet temps etc.

  9. My car made 350kw.... Well the dyno sheet says 296kw but If ur car makes 261 on the dyno thats what u tell everyone it makes. 4kw max round up so u made 265 and i made 300kw Glad ur happy with the tune he gave u. REMEMBER.its just a number. There is ALOT of variable when comparing different dyno's. Like comparing apples and oranges
  10. They have same sensing element as z32 but have a stock housing so they bolt onto the stock gtr airbox. So yes they can be used
  11. Compression test can be mis leading if th cam gears etc have been adjusted.
  12. i just bought an r32 gtst drifter, no engine etc etc, in the boot was an Air Research T04 with OP6 on the rear housing. i Spoke to Stao this arvo about rebuilding it to remove the crazy amounts of shaftplay. very curious to see what he can make of it for my RB25 i have for it.
  13. totally agree, very curious to know what comp its built too. compression test may not give the results we are after, lots of variables
  14. which means you have either an rb20 ecu with nistune or a z32 ecu with nistune. is it definately a nistune
  15. disconnecting the CAS is much easier, its stops all spark and injector pulse. mine was 170psi across all when i bought it.

  18. I was speaking to Paul from Red R Racing he measured (cc)the rb 25 det head from my customers build while i was on the phone to him and he knows RB26 heads like the back of his hand. OP exactly which pistons did u get from spool?
  19. RRR What spool pistons? Hope theyre not for rb26 head and ur running rb25 head as below Rb25 head cc's a 54 ish and rb26 is 64 ish. Thats an extreme increase in comp. So chances are u have too high a comp ratio

  22. Were the chambers in the head modified at all? What squish clearance is the piston to head? What thickness headgasket?
  23. Running No BOV will stop the pshhh sound but will create the flutter zutututu sound. Running a tightened aftermarket BOV will flutter at low boost and release only at a higher boost.
