  1. BE SURE TO CHANGE THE OIL BEFORE U DRIVE IT! The engine oil will be extremely diluted with petrol now. When the injector leakes the fuel makes its way down past the piston rings and into the sump.
  2. 1500psi combustion pressure. So adding a couple of psi wont smash pistons. Detonation can spike the combuation pressures too 5000psi which can smash pistons, bend rods etc
  3. Ahh k. I wonder why they dont make em for rb25.
  4. Why not use supertech for both
  5. Yes, head off and sent to get a few special modifications. New solid cams. And can keep the vtc
  6. Just convert it to solids for around the same price, Rev to 8500 win win and never spend 2400 smackaroos on lifters.
  7. I actually prefer the readout and warning light in a way. Atleast u know to back off and check it out, check temps etc. I do like and tune alot of nistune's im just not 100% certain of how well they detect knock and switch to the knock maps. I still set the knockmaps up. One thing to not is the stock knock sensing on the timin maps is normally only on a small percentage of the map and i have never seen the area flagged on the map go near or above max torque, i suspect the knock sensing gets confused with valvetrain noise
  8. Non of them accurately show knock reading like power fc does michael. The ecu has an internal knock board that senses knock which then switches to the knock maps. But doesnt let the user know when it does it.
  9. Less slippage bro
  10. Holy cow batman, theres nobody driving That GTR! Hey Brett did u lean down to pick up ur beer in the straight shot?
  11. $2400 for a set is rediculous.
  12. Lol @ using a vibrator to set the knock sensor off. Im not 100% sure but if the knock sensor is faulty it will run on the knock maps. I havent checked the resistance on a faulty sensor but i know a good sensor is 570kohm. So if it was as simple as setting a 2nd wiring circuit with a higher/lower resistor so when u switch to the 2nd circuit it jumps to the knock maps. I dont trust the knock maps. Especially at higher rpm where there is alot of valve train noise
  13. Does the battery seem discharged? Its very possible the engine is extremely flooded with fuel and it may be hydraulicallly locked. This could be due to leaking injectors or th ecu thinking it need Lot of fuel due to a sensor issue. Best to remove te spark plugs and see if the cylinder/s are full of fuel. Check the oil to see if it is over full(due to being topped up with petrol from the leaking injector) Try to crank the motor with no spark plugs.
  14. Or u could get Red R Racing to convert to solid lifters. Just out of curiousity how much are lifters from nissan?
  15. Sorting out a new meeting spot atthe moment karma. Last week everyone came up to my place at somersby then went to kariong.
  16. Can u get to the hose clamps to nip them up?
  17. Depends how much u paid the 1st time. Its hard for workshops with overheads etc. Pm sent
  18. So does the lifter eventially bleed up?
  19. Hey Sarge i hav to agree 110% with everything mad082 has said about the fuel pump and mechanics in general. Its a process of trial and error in alot of cases. Also agree with him in saying about the fuel pump throwing the tune. But i also know exactly how u feel about paying again. Im sure if u ask NICELY that advan will help u out in rechecking/setting the AFR's across the board. Just be sure to be friendly. Don't accuse them and get them off gaurd. Let us know how u go today.
  20. Glad u got it sorted. When it comes to electrical ALWAYS start with the simple things first. Check the battery and terminals. Then check the fuses.
  21. Have u changed anytging on the car lately. Or worked on any wiring
  22. Have a look in yellow pages. Give them a call. What is ur power steering issue
  23. Check all fuses first.
