  2. what do you use the car for? what are your power goals etc?
  3. if you have driven it that far it should be a faulty oil pressure sender. get a mechanic to put a oil pressure tester on it and see what the pressure is doing
  4. have you checked the globes or is it LED
  5. head gasket thickness depends on what compression you want to run, what do you mean by short pined rods?
  6. Is there something wrong with the current motor? If it does pop it will more than likely be a piston ring land failure. Then u can rebuild it then. What boost is it running now? What fuel?

  8. 044 is huge. Dont think u will need that big. Its either the fuel pump or the tune. As long as ur tuner knows how to tune nistune. 13afr under boost is quite dangerous. Would be getting pretty hot in the combustion chambers. If u go to q workshop they should be able to fit a fuel pressure and flow gauge. This will tell u if ur fuel pump is running out of flow.
  9. The way it Works is the consult timing shoukd say 15 ( or whatever te base timing is for ur engine) then u need to set the crank angle sensor timing to match the consult, u do this by using a timing light as i described above

  11. its good thats its doing it at idle, makes it much easier to diagnose, pull the spark plugs out and check there condition especially the dud cylinders, might have a crack in the porcelain etc, need to check them and post up some pics, keep them in order but
  12. standard cat is no good, waaay too retrictive. what ever size your exhaust is get 1 size bigger cat eg- 3inch exh get a 3.5 or 4inch highflow cat etc
  13. without the gearbox the starter has nothing to bolt to so its unable to crank the motor, no crank=no start. half cuts are easy to start, engine and box only not so easy. as Elite said get a written warranty agreement if you buy it from that seller
  14. timing light loop that nissan recommends using can cause timing lights to read wrong, i had this happen the other week on a GTR, i didnt feel it was correct so i put a spark lead from the #1 coil pack to the #1 spark plug to check timing and it was 10 degrees different to the timing loop. always best to use the spark plug trick
  15. might be R+R, meaning the ecu is reaching its TP limits. might need a nistune or a power fc, if thats the case
  16. zuuuttttuuuttuuu. if you run stock airbox open it up and take the padded sponge from it, this will cause maaad flutterzzz
  17. Can you please do this and post up the pics of the bearings, both front and back of the bearings.
  18. Check with an led test light that the coilpack is getting a signal. Use the led light on the signal wire and the clip end to power and it should pulse the led test light. If it doesnt check the same wire but before the ignitor. If there is still no pulse check the same wire but at the ecu. If there is still no Pulse try another ecu
  19. how was the preload when you took it off? did you get the adjustment to where stao recommended
  20. this will run the battery voltage at the pump which is the best way to have if and a very common cheap upgrade to get better fuel flow to the fuel rail. this is still controlled by the ecu to it is very safe, if the engine stops so does the fuel pump so if you roll the car it won't keep pumping fuel. unsure of which terminal, google for your car and ecu type for the pinout
  21. did you get the .8mm gap? if you have then you need new coil packs. try yellow jacket, cheapish $400 and are supposed to be really good
  22. that was my old N1 pump, i was sooo paranoid about it after TM ruined 3 new engines in his R33 after he broke 3 N1 oil pumps... He was revving too 9500RPM but when they all broke, Anthony that N1 pump was running in my engine without a crank collar too. I ended up going all out buying a Tomei pump and collar etc.

  24. When u say cutting out. What do u mean? Misfiring?
