  1. I dont think its a silly suggestion. I dont think he can really starve the sump of oil. Its a 10litre sump and i doubt the rocker cover will hold 10litres of oil. Plus he already has a restrictor. He hasnt specified what size yet so cant comment on that.
  2. Oh wow. U definately stuffed something up then. Take it back out and make sure the dowel pin is inside the cam. Then align the cas so it goes in past it. ( half the dowel is in cam other half is in cas) u will see what i mean when u look for it. Make sure that is aligned then set the cas rotationto centre for now and try again
  3. It should have a dowel location pin inside the spline. If that is lined up then u need to get a timing light and set the position of the cas. It should be fairly central in the elongated holes on the front. If its knocking (i guess u mean pinging) when driving full boost then u need to back the timing off, so loosen the cas bolts just enough so u can rotate it, then with the engine running rotate the cas anti clockwise a couple of mm, this should lower the idle and retard the timing, if the idle rises then rotate the other way till the idle lowers. But really u need a timing light and set to 20degrees at idle then test.
  4. Very good results. Well done
  5. Have u changed anything recently? What rpm does it idle at before it starts to hunt? What ecu?
  6. Aaahahahaha. I was thinking a moderator was playing games with u
  7. OT but princess trozzle??????
  8. get better baffles in the rocker covers. Also how is ur catch can plumbed? If its connected to the turbo intKe try running it to atmosphere instead
  9. Big call saying detonation. Its possible but its a big call. More likely a missfire of sorts
  10. Let it cool Nd check the coolant level. If its ok leave the cap off open the air bleeder screw on the inlet manifold till coolant comes out then refit the bleeder screw and start the car, let it idle till it warms up with cap off and heater on. This should remove any air that is still trapped in the cooling system. If it still overheats get a new thermostat
  11. Nice vid man. See u at wakie
  12. Go to truckline. They do custom tailshafts and balancing
  13. Wow i just had a quick glace at the link above for vic roads and engine mods. Sucks to be u guys. There a$$holes. Must be run by greenies
  14. Did u just fit these turbos or did it only become laggy after fitting the ebc? Have u recently changed cam gears or anything else? Have u checked the condition of ur cat?
  15. If ur handy with auto electrics at all. Try running a wire from the positive on the battery to the injector positive(make sure its the positive, should be the same colour wire on all injectors) U only have to connect to 1 of the injector positive wires as there all connected to 1 source. See if ur car starts now. If it does then there might be a break in ur wiring loom somewhere or the ecu injector drive might be fried.
  16. Haha nah Paul not urs. Steve's was pumping it out on decel and so was deano's. But after a couple of revs it was all clear.
  17. Pm sent. Cant discuss more details about that on public forum
  18. I agree with the above post. Valve stem seals. I saw this on 2 gtr's the other weekend at a hill climb. On the decent back down they were both pumping out the same smoke. Cleared up when revved. 1 had a stock motor the other had built 30/26
  19. Ok, check all fuses
  20. Beat me too it Great minds think alike
  21. If u have a stock ecu etc tyen stay with stock afm's. As above there is a diy repair on the afm's. Normally inside the black box part near the connector the solder joints dry out and crack causing non contact.
  22. Aaahahahaha.
  23. My 660cc hit 90% on 16psi and 100% on 20psi 296kw on rb26.
