Questions About Induction Kit On R33 Gt-R
DVS JEZ replied to jnbR33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Where is FNQ? Im honestly not sure u will be able to use the stock airbox unless both intakes were made custom from the front of the turbo's. run the pods but make a pod cover to enclose them in. Heres a R34 GTR i installed te piping kit to a week ago. It went on to make 325kw with -5 turbo's -
Cracked N1 Block, Decision Time
DVS JEZ replied to Stoney85's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Sorry to hear. Its possible the valve was just a mechanical failure, or something has come between the valve and the seat causing i to snap but they are strong little buggers. Check the valve seat for signs. What makes u think the block is cracked? Check the TDC of the pistons in the bore's too especially the one with the broken valve to be sure a rod hasnt bent. Changing shims to adjust the clearance is normal -
The response can be missleading from run to if the exhaust temp is cooled down. ie: the high boost run was probably the first run ater letting the car cool down etc. hard to explain but both are the same response. We did pick up a tiny bit of response with E85

Just to ammend ur last post Tao, the red and green are e85 but hi and low boost. I will get an overlay of the 98 runs from before i converted it to ethanol

Keep the stock reg if its working correctly
-
02 sensor only works when warm and at light load.

I use my consult. But there is a way to test via engine light afaik. Cant help u on how to tho as i dont use it that way. So u have rb25 with ALL sensors including tps, knock and afm? With rb25 loom and ecu? Are u running stock fuel pressure reg? Have u tried disconnecting 02 sensor and driving? Are u running stock intake pipe to afm?
-
Scary when u first notice it in the catch can
-
Was the rb20 doing the same thing? Check all sensors. Do ecu diagnostic Disconnect 02 sensor Try another afm Try another ecu Are u running all the rb25 sensors?
-
Nytsky can u change from white writing. Near impossibru to read
-
Where are u located? Take it to a tuner and get it checked. Can be many possibilities
-
Correct and with ethanol u notice it more due to the condensation build up. Its amazing how quick a cat can can fill up with water
-
Haha pretty sure all 3 of those will make power. Just ur definition of power may be different to others

T67 needs highmount so throws the stock look away

Unfortunately the r32 afms dont have any resolution over around 330kw at the wheels. Are u in Australia? Not saying u dont have the power just hard to believe. People around here would kill to have 418kw on -5's as most are sub 350 and some lucky ones are closer to 400kw. How does it drive? -
Last one i saw ran like poo as Ash said it went into r&r due to the extra airflow through the afm. A tune with a NIStune sorted that out.

Blake remind me on monday i'll bring Brads sheet up on the dyno. His made 280kw low mount external on 98. Fries tyres. He's happy

Shouldnt need to skim the vband in most cases. Mine seals fine however its migged. Maybe try a good heat sink when using the tig

Do u still have the dash connected and wired? Theres a button just above the headlight switch. If this is on it will activate ur parkers

Installing Bosch 1000Cc Injectors To Rb26
DVS JEZ replied to HKS-R33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Check impedance with multimeter. If high resistance remove ballast resistor. Orings are hit and miss depending. Try and see. U may need different orings -
Use the neo head?
