  1. is that at the manifold runner, rear housing or dump pipe?
  2. Thanks guys ill check out the ANDRA forums tonight
  3. N1 turboes, stock internals with adj cam gears, 3.5 exh, tomei 600cc, walbro and power fc and cooling mods. Currently ive tuned it to 293kw on 18psi afr aimed around 11.5WOT as the car hits the circuit a bit. Ill be running e85 and just want to have a ball park on EGTs for when i tune it. Just thought there was a common EGT range to look out for
  4. take the dump pipe off and see if there is any room for improvement at the wastegate hole, like can it be ground out 1mm or so to help? we had a s13 that would boost creep to 21psi from 18psi, we found the cheap ebay manifold that was to suit a 38mm gate had a 29mm hole, we ground it out to 31mm and it completely fixed the issue, if you do grind it out make sure you take the housing off the turbo 1st
  5. ^^^+ 1, how was it tuned? have you checked the cat? pic of dyno graph? with AFR, boost and torque etc
  6. ok thanks, what are Ion sensing coils? they sound expensive. im not really interested in individual cylinders so much i can check this and compare to the other cylinders, But im more interested in a max EGT before a turbo dies or a piston melts etc what are a common ballpark EGT for 98 octane fuel, surely there has to be a ballpark, say 1000 degrees max
  7. take the arm off the wastegate flapper and ensure it opens all the way freely and closes easily, then refit the arm
  8. interested in what a "safe" range for exhaust gas temp is? im running internally stock rb26 and about to start tuning it on E85, i would like to know what safe EGTs are for BP98 and also E85. when i say EGT's i mean at the dump pipe or rear housings. as getting to the rb26 manifold runners is near impossible. cheers
  9. lol.... what to see that im right behind you with my N1's just get it EPA passed then engineered.... all good then
  10. people say the same bad things about Vi-pec boost control, its just a DC adjustment and when setup correctly will nearly as good as any
  11. GTX35 deano oh and you need to update your sig to 312.9kw
  12. good thinking, i might have a go at doing that, just let it idle with no alternator charge and try keep the idle AFR steady, thanks mate
  13. reminds me of street fighter when you get to bash up a car between fights.
  14. PFC for the WIN or if you really wanna get a high tech ecu get a microtech lol jokes. deano we could run the 285s but just have to raise our cars just a tad..... like 70 mm atleast. im soooo keen for e85, come on gossy caltex hurry up and finish the tank works
  15. your on the right track, there is a an adjustment for the injector lag time in milliseconds vs battery voltage, so at a higher voltage the injector will open and close faster and needs a lower lag time = less time open at lower voltage it will open and close slower so it needs more open time, i just need to know the correct way to set this up so at all different Voltage there is no affect on AFR's , mainly between 12v and 14v
  16. I used to run 255s on my old car and would easily fry 3rds on the freeway. These days. Run 245 ku36s but i prefer 4wd all time and even on street i run with more front bias than normal. Im over doing skids in rwd. Been doing them for 3yrs. Grip is more fun now.
  17. Normally 13.2v and with highbeam on 13v changes from 13.8Afr idle to 13.4afr or so and richer with more load. I tried playing with the 12v setting and ur correct the rest are stock rb26 figures.
  18. that still won't be wide enough
  19. what are the symptoms?
  20. ive tuned my car but this is one thing i cant seem to find an understandable answer too, injector lag time vs battery voltage, ive noticed with my lights(or electrical drain) on im getting a richer AFR, i know why this is happening but i cant find out how to set the inj vs batt settings for my setup. im using datalogit with LC1 and XD16 etc. RB26 running tomei 600cc injectors 18 psi making 293kw N1 turbo's stock motor on 98 any help with settings for inj lag (ms) vs batV current settings 16v 0.604 14v 0.772 12v 0.944 10v 1.132 8v 1.316 6v 1.396 inj settings 73.0 lag time 0.03 any help much appreciated cheers Jez
  21. well done, crazy results... Gosford caltex is doing tank works at the moment which means yeeeeehhaaaaaa E85 will be in my tank soon
  22. if it didnt do it before they touched it i would ask for your old ecu back.
  23. We had a s13 silvia lose 40kw by fittin a cheap highflow cat. Putting the decat pipe straight back in giving it a run without changing anything went from 205 to to 245kw
  24. Looks awesome. Once youve fitted up Roys R32, my GTR needs a legal bolt in cage. Any ideas on pricing yet
